Something a little Different....

Cheers, Yer not many get to this level or have the "whole" package like this IMO

No what you mean no many cars get near this level, I had a lot plan for mine but 200 miles after having the bottom end forged and rebuild etc a conrod let go :( (was quite torqued up properly) as the guy refused any responsablitly I sold it to a mate for peanuts!

How much more you planning for it? Looks absolutely pucka :)

I am actually shocked at the attention to detail and the skill involved in this build everything has been done to such a high quality. Your a legend mate [B)]

Ah thats never good....

Is respect of planning... more headwork get more power, then use and enjoy.... until winter would like to cage (properly weld in)

Been mental couple of days.... I rebuilt the front end, wings and bumper. My current bumper I ruined cutting to far but i fitted to get me for mot tomorrow.

Made a temp catch tank :) put wire wool in there to help

hts3h3.jpg

Time for some gearbox oil would been easier to do this before oil cooler was fitted but oh well

8xr2i8.jpg

Tool for the job

20p2mu.jpg

dg2e1h.jpg

Fitted gps wiring for dash, gps was hiden under boot carpet

wsk8xt.jpg

Tapped into dimmer switch for dash to dim with interior illumination

29ux3de.jpg

Steve came over we sorting timing etc, cranked with plugs out to check good oil pressure with fuel disconnected. Then primed the fuel system to check for leaks, all was good! This was also done with feed disconnected at rail to check lines were clear! There was also lots more calibration but I will be here forever writing about it....

Before start up safety first...

dmejqo.jpg

little shot of the laptop checking the whats been logged after the car had been run for a bit, it took a long time tinkering etc...

2qmd7yd.jpg

Another shot of dash with car running

35kn52x.jpg

then once everything was double checked it was off for quick lap round the block just checking it was safe to drive to mot station tomorrow, few tweaks here and there and now he is ready for tomorrow...

i cant really put into words how impressed i am with this car it was a weapon when i seen it in south wales a few months back parked next to a baby blue rx7, my mate was on mig web and kept pointing me to it and as coincidence he met you while i was chatting to robbie at a rolling road day @got boost small world eh!

how much power you going to put through it? a mate of mine is building a 500hp nova and myself think its wasted power as it'll never grip id rather it about 330-350 with good trackability and road legal to scare those evo boys :)

Cheers yer it was 301 hp then. Thats was a long time ago @ got boost lol that was back when i had ronnie I think or monty was 2.0 non turbo!

Not going near 500 well no plans, I agree but its how its mapped and how you set it up.... Whats the point of having a super low car with high HP?? the car has multi map to so will run to different maps! It used to scare evo boys before....

More work on him once again....

First off, out the garage for for some fresh air

294qhih.jpg

Then MOT time....

2wq7pra.jpg

After that tracking was done to get me to PVS, will have proper setup/corner weight once he is back!

Then I headed back to steve's unit, we checked the base map at various RPM/Manifold pressure on several roads, once steve was happy we put 4k rpm limit and 6psi boost limit as above to get me to pvs and owen developments for mapping :)

Once this was done, back onto finishing the dash :)

How it looked in it current state..

18dhep.jpg

Next was to fit the shift light module, spacers were made to mount it

335a7n5.jpg

Drilled the dash for "display controls" - "green" goes through menus, "red" accepts warnings and communication port for dash!

2ry5180.jpg

Drilled the dash for "ecu controls" - communication port, Traction control rate switch, Traction control on/off switch, High and low boost settings

25su15v.jpg

Rebuilt dash with shift lights and leds for indicator left/right, ign light, handbrake light, rear fog light and main beam.

2v17y13.jpg

Parts turned up to fit my catch tank

280jcp1.jpg

1zmo807.jpg

Fitted some heat matting under the bonnet as the manifold gets nice and warm

ifbneq.jpg

Now after ruining my other bumper it was time to cut the new one, function over form now with cooling..... the end result might not be to everyones taste....

34nfiuo.jpg

Also done the ducting to the oil cooler note the wonky screws :( oh well....

o89mid.jpg

Finally a little video of shift lights and dash...
