spent abit of time on the bay before meet, thought id post bit of what i did.

first off i painted the inlet manifold

Off

old gasket

removed the dipstick tube as it was nasty

nearly ready for paint

then the rain came and it was dark before it stopped

all painted vht black

all done

ordered aload of 70mm piping to move the air filter down the wing to bumper

and a new dipstick tube to finish it off

i had myn down there.. was best to put a foam filter there as my one rusted an glogged up a little but never had any big problems

I put the filter down there just to draw abut of attention really and to make the bay look clean, but seems to of gathered a flat spot half way through the rev range

Think moving a filter like that on a n/a car is ok because the inlet manifold is acting a penlum chamber and always full of air. Think mines running out of air low down maybe. Or somert along thos lines

I'll leave it till my new Intercooler piping comes see if that sorts it out or helps

Yeh i noticed the exact same thing on mine when it was down the wing.

Car picked up alot better when i moved it back into the bay

Moved the filter back in the bay tonight, as I got a bit worried of drowning it down in the fog light hole, as we had such heavy rain my alarm kept going off! I did drive it 20 miles on flooded country roads and felt it when i got home and it was bone dry. I just couldn't put up with worrying about where I was driving and trying to dodge puddles and things!

Also put the interior back in, if anyones got any pics from the meet if the inside could you post em?! I forgot to take any!

Also after a set of Ibiza Cupra R OZ Super T's if anyone knows of any?!

Got hold of some super Ts the other day

and best of all the cleared my APs

heres some snaps

im liking how it standing just needs to come down a tad

also got a few things in the post

solid front engine mount

also got a Pohenolic insulator gasket kit from bill thanks very much

Will have loads of goodies by friday BIG goodies so watch this space lol
