Should make the scratch look invisible from the pictures Daz. Dont think a respray is required.

Theres only a couple of deeper scratchs left now Maz, they might polish out, I'll have to bring it round for you soon.

Told you the N249 bypass was worth it ;)

Splitter will look really good once you have finished wrapping. Let us know once you have done it so I can get a good look of this DK splitter!!!

Will do mate, depending how things go I might have it done by the weekend.

Made a bit more progress with the splitter :D

The under side is now all wrapped and sealed with clear coat resin, just needs a coat of lacquire.

Last night I wrapped the top side

I got up nice and early this morning and applyed the first coat of clear resin and left it to dry in the sun, tonight it's been filed down to shape and sanded ready for the next coat of clear resin.

Not going to suit your car Darren. I will do you a favour and take it off you and stick it on mine. It's the least a mate could do ;)

I was hoping to have the splitter ready to lacquire this weekend but the final coat of clear resin has had a bad reaction to something :(

Going to have to wait for it to fully harden off and then rub it all down again [:@]

Managed to sand down most of the contaminted layer of resin, it's a bit cloudy in places but hopefully once it's lacquired and fitted they wont show

Daz how many layers of resin have you put on? What sand paper did you use, i.e. how fine of a grade did you go up to? I would advise against lacquering at this stage - speak to me before you do anything more.

It had 3 thick layers but I've taken the 3rd one off, whats left is'nt great to be honest :( It's been wet sanded using grit's 120 to 1500 and now it's really smoot :D I was planing on lacquering it next weekend, what did you have in mind ? I dont think the resins deep enough to get a good deep polished look.

Car looks lovely mate, was a really good day for it. Been out cleaning mine too.
Looking forward to seeing the splitter done, its going to be awesome :)

I think I caught the sun yesterday :D
