It had 3 thick layers but I've taken the 3rd one off, whats left is'nt great to be honest :( It's been wet sanded using grit's 120 to 1500 and now it's really smoot :D I was planing on lacquering it next weekend, what did you have in mind ? I dont think the resins deep enough to get a good deep polished look.
I would say to add another layer of resin, sand it down a little using high grade paper like 2000-3000 then I can machine polish it. It will ensure the paint is dead flat and polished to a high clear gloss.

I'm having problems with the resin at the moment, it keeps seperating which is why I've had to remove the top layer, If the weathers warm at the weekend I'll lacquire it and see what it comes out like.

lacquered the splitter today with the help of my friend Charlie :D

Next stage will be to compound and polish the lacquer, I'm going to try and get it fitted over the long weekend :D

Looks really good, i'd love to do something like that but theres no point on my car it's that low the splitter would get annihilated.

I'm very happy with the way it's turned out :D It did get a bit of punishment today so I'll have to keep an eye on the under side of it to make sure the resin on the undersides not getting rub'd down too far.
