Yea got the Mrs the lupo and in the space of a week PAS Hose was found to be corroded (£120 with discount plus labour! :( ), rear tyre blew out on dual carriageway taking taillight & bumper (£190 repaired & painted) out with it also requiring to renew RAC at the roadside for £225

Bad times. That was clutch & save towards track tires money :'(

Jesus dude, bad times indeed!:(

I've been thinking of getting some track tyres too, fancy getting out around Donnington or something like that soon, which ones were you thinking of mate?

Donnington is on my doorstep but has gotten very expensive.

Mallory park is round the corner an cheeper

I plan on doing an airfield trackday like Bedford first as its more forgiving with the run off if mistakes are made, being Im a novice

It's not cheap is it mate, was looking the other day and was quite shocked!

Haven't even thought about Bedford but as you said, its probably a good idea as I'm a total novice too! Would be good if we could get a few of us 'novices' down to a day together!:D

Just been looking at Bedfords website, does look good! Especially their dedicated novice trackdays!:) Now just need to find out if my car is too loud for their dB levels or not, hopefully it isn't!;)

Decided BBS Centre Caps are too expensive and rare to get ones that fit my CH's

So i got the crappy chrome caps that came with my alloys, Sprayed em matt black and ordered custom BBS stickers which will fit perfectly :D

April pay weekend or just before would be best time for me. Where there any novice days around then? Budget for a bit of tuition and professional trackside photos...

How have you found the diff in general mate? Given its an expensive mod, is it worthwhile? And how much was fitting?

Cheers.

The diff is awesome mate, I love it and if I was to mod the same car again the first two things I'd do is a stg 1 map and a diff! :D Some people's opinions are 'diff'erent tho!;)
I paid £999 fully fitted for mine mate, they also fitted my Helix clutch and SMF for free at the same time!:D

Just popped down to my local VAG dudes and have now been invited over to the 'The Ring' later on this month. Apparentley for the testing weekend they are opening the Ring and the F1 track in an OpenPitlane style and my mate has managed to get a garage in the F1 pitlane! I'm now trying to make my mind up whether to take my motor or wait and try a slightly more beginner friendly trackday experience!???! Decisions, decisions!!!!

In wait of my black K1 grill, I've had a go of wrapping my wing mirrors....

The result...FAIL!

..argh. Not looking forward to seeing it in the light once the wrap has "pulled" itself into shape.

Attempt 2 later
