Hello!Excuse mistakes but use google translate!I am not a native speaker of English...I have a Seat Cordoba 6L year 2008 and are interested for a flip key.In etka I searched for V.I.N. car and found the key code: 1 J0 959 753 CT . The idea is that this type of key is very rare on ebay.I want to buy a used key, not a new one and so it is very rare.I read on this forum and may fit other keys:1 J0 959 753 DA or 1 J0 959 753 AH.Only fits one or both? That codes AH / DA are equivalent, right?I want to buy a key code AH / DA and are worried that he might not fit and lose money. What do you think will fit or not?The car model is Reference. Therefore I am afraid that will not match that key.The car came with two normal keys, not folding keys.Expect an answer!Thank you!

I would purchase 1J0 959 753 DA, that's the one I have and it works perfectly. It should work for you too. I have not tried the AH version so I can't comment. And yes, DA should still work even if your normal keys aren't folding keys.

A previous owner has already done the 3-button flip key conversion on my cupra, but it has a few problems. 1, the boot unlock button doesnt work, and 2, to unlock the boot, you need to press the normal unlock button three times.

Any ideas?

For the boot to unlock, you need to press and hold the boot button for at least 1 second. Just thought I'd mention it as many people don't realise this. Also the button doesn't "pop" up, it purely just unlocks.

As for the press unlock 3 times, that doesn't sound right, I think your boot lock mechanism might need lubricating or even replacing if it's past it.

Mine does that to, if you hold the boot unlock button it should work, as chris has already mentioned, mine also unlocks all the doors (driver, passenger and boot) if I click the unlock button 3 times

Tried holding the boot unlock button, still the same, won't unlock the boot! The wee red light will flash when I hold the button down though

maybe too many keys have been programmed most makes up to 3 can be done? I love the boot unlock button at the supermarket can load shopping then shut the boot then the car lock when i go to push the trolley back! Simple things! I got the car VAGCOM'd so all doors unlock on one press as it irritated me soo much I would go to open the passenger door or a friends would not be able to get in as i forget to hold the button down.

Yep, sounds like too many keys have been programmed. If you have the full version of VCDS, or know someone with it, you should be able to remove the keys you don't own and then you can program the keys so only those 2 (or however many you have) will work.

AFAIK the last key in position 4 will be overwritten if you try to program another one.

Just remember, if you do erase all the keys you'll have to re-code them to the immobiliser so be careful!

If the 2 keys you have keep alternating between working and not working you can probably remove the first 3 keys without a worry.

Oh really? Thanks.
I didn't know that!

How can I erase keys that I don't have?

Currently, I have 3 keys. 2 are remote keys....I was planning on erasing the keys, then coding these 2 keys. But I didn't know they would be removed from the Immobiliser memory also...Are you sure about this? Thanks

Man i have this problem, one remote seems to knock the other one out of sync, i have tried erasing all the keys with the manual method pressing unlock five times etc.. no luck it doesnt seem to work at all.
also surely erasing the key from the memory wont affect the imob code on it???
