darmon, spotted you today, about an hour ago, middle lane of the A34 towards Handforth. Still looks good! You maybe saw mine parked on the left, a sky blue coloured one?

On the little issues, a couple of new shocks, a new tyre and some Ford Puma (because they're shorter) droplinks sound the way to go.

On the cutting out, try clearing all the fault codes once you've changed the plugs or coils. Sometimes they just need a fault code reset to sort it all out.

Sorted out the shock absorber now - picking 2 up later on.

Tyres will be getting replaced at the weekend too.

Any idea how much i'm looking at for droplinks?

Blanco - sorry mate, I didnt see you - although at 8:00 in the morning, i'm still half asleep! :D

Its going into Audi for its MOT, so i'll get them to plug it in whilst its there and clear the fault codes etc

looks like it could be off the road for a few days now.

Putting the shock absorber on now, and we've come across some seized bolts. New top mount needed - also needs a new wheel bearing as the bearing isnt sitting in the hub right.

So at the minute, its sat in the garage looking sorry for itself, whilst I order the parts and have them picked up.

Once i've sorted all that out, it should be OK to put back together, and then i'll get it MOT'd. May sell it once its MOT'd but still debating!

All fixed now - just awaiting MOT on Saturday.

Made the decision to sell her once its MOT'd - 12 months MOT will be a good selling point and just cant shake off the lure of a clio sport.

Will be putting a For Sale post up soon with details

Well, i've been given a deposit for the car now - so the new owner will be coming to collect it on Tuesday night!

Flew through its MOT with only the 1 advisory - for the ARB as discussed above.

Will miss her, but on to the next car :) I've made the new owner aware of this thread etc and told him to keep updating!

Just out of interest how did you do the brake upgrade? These 1.2's caliper and carrier are attached to the hub, you have to do a hub conversion to upgrade the brakes.

How did you do it?

yeh just simply change discs on pads. drilled and grooved for the look and brembo pads just for the little extra braking power. it is only a 1.2 not much need for brake conversion. will email sum pics 2day for you :)
