Not used to the lower front yet, I guess, as I rubbed my new cupra r lip today. :(

Still I have so many ideas, but so little time and/or money! :p
For starters, I want to rebuild the upper center grille, making it all honey comb. Wouldnt be too difficult I recon (more about this later). Also want to add a "cupra" + a "cupra 4" to the left upper grille. Those are both cheap and easy mods that I plan on doing pretty soon! :)

Paintwork booked for 4th of July. Front bumper, bonnet, front wings, and two spots where the canal skirts have rubbed the paint beneath the back of the rear doors. In addition, I'll leave the car at a garage to replace the front sway bar and bushings, along with brake discs and pads at all wheels.

All this, while I take a two week vacation in USA. Good times

looks good mate blacks the best color ;) . wish i could have the 4wd as im going big turbo and its not good putting lots of power through 2 front wheels,

good luck with car

black is nice when clean, yeah, but its a pain to keep it that way!
4wd is a must for me, living up here..
Since I first heard of it, I can't stop thinking about the ABT tuned Seat Leon Cupra 4 Kompressor though... Albeit, the realist in me tells me that it will forever be no more than a dream.
Migth upgrade the turbo etc. in the car I allready have though, but if so, I want to make som adjustments to the way the Haldex is beeing controlled.

Its rarely a big plus to have the front wheels slip and spin (1/4 rotation?) before the rear wheels kick in. So I planned on making a switch which allows me to choose between FWD, "AUTO", and AWD. It should be a pretty easy fix, as the haldex also uses the ABS sensors.
Or at least I think/hope so.. :p

A lot of tuning to be had there Poliq. More power from a TDI with 4wd makes sense!

yeah, but first im looking forward to get it fit, and good looking. Then, maybe on a later point, Im thinking turbo change + injectors + exhaust upgrade, and take it to a tuner for a custom map. Will never (or at least I dont think so at this point..) go "extreme". The inside will mostly remain the same I guess. But seeing 230bhp/~500nm wouldt be bad.

I just wanna leave my mates in a black cloud! Both summer AND winter! ;)

First: I have not had any time to either the car or the forums this summer, so there has been few updates. Most of the time has instead been used at the cabin. :)

But yeah, I got the car back from the paintshop, dirty because it had been sitting outside.. Well.. At later inspection I found that the firm had been sloppy with the work, as I found old stone chips that was painted over, but not repaired. :( guess I have to head over there some day.. (damn!)
Will also add before/after pictures when I find them.

Otherwise the car will get some new parts and some service in the near future, maf, air filter, oils, etc. Will read out error codes using ross-tech vagcom tomorrow, will see how it goes ..

In addition, I started to brush up my winter wheels for painting. I do this by hand, and it takes time! Has so far been sanding for 12 hours, still havent thouched the last wheel tho. But I think it will turn out good with original seat speedline (starfish) 17" in white, with black center and chrome seat emblem. Pictures will come, of course. Corrosion is a beach.

Nice read there alot of time and effort has been put in.

Your winter pics are out of this world it's like a picture for a wall.

Top effort

well, the time and effort ive put into my car is hardly mentionable if you see what others have been doing, but thanks. Glad you like them, though I never thought they where that amazing, the background, the setting and the potential maybe, but the pics werent really what i hoped for in the end.. =/

Spent another good two hours sandiing the fourth rim today, not finished eventhough that was the one with less corrosion and damage.. ;) just got time to do the inside and most of the outside with p240 grade sandpaper. Outside needs som more love with p400 imo.

e: heres an example of what ive been facing, and why I do this..:

Maybe I should do the roof rack white as well? And mount it, at least for the winter? hmm, not sure if I like the look tho, have to give it some thought. btw vagcom didnt happen today either, next week I guess.

must ask what polish do you use?

Its called Waytoorarely Used.

Or, actually, last time I used Turtle Wax Black Car Kit. It contains 3 steps, and with added clay I must say it worked out nicely. Had some hologram issues though, but I choose to blame the operator rather than the products. ;)

After some ~35hrs worth of sanding and painting, the wheels was done! (long time ago though. just havent updated this thread)

Sanding was done with p240 and p400 for the rims, and p400+wp800+wp1200+polish for the hub caps. Should have gone even further (p2000) for the transparent center of the caps, but after a good polish it wasnt too bad after all.

All in all, they turned out better than expected. Sadly I havent got any pictures of the job, nor any good after pictures.

Imo, these white rims look very good on this car, especially in the winter!
In the last pic you can even see how a wild speedhump came out of nowhere and loosened my cupra r lip! :( was bound to happen, so no biggie really.

Also removed the front wiper mechanism the other day, and broke it while trying to repair it. crap. new one on its way. :)
(Car looks better without wipers!! :p )
Also ordered a full set of new whiter bulbs. Fogs, dipped and main.

MOT in april. Need new brakes, and front anti strut brace/bushings.. Maybe even some more.
Money to spend.

EDIT: Can I no longer edit post #1?? :(

Glad you like 'em guys. I'll put some better pictures up.
Bulbs have arrived, will do 'em one of these days. wiper mechanism is on its way as well, will hopefully get mounted before the weekend. Also decided to remove the rear wiper, as all it does for me is collect dirt and snow :( Just gotta find a useable plug of some sort first. Any suggestions?
