The power plant started to hesitate a little yesterday.
Actually quite a lot, and there were no boost until ~3700 rpm! :-o

A litlle trying and testing helped a bit, but it wasnt in top shape.

Thats why, today I went and got a new diesel filter.
Did just change it, along with a new coupe filter (dont know what you call it..).

The outside temperature is a good 10C warmer today, so the car ran great, with early boost as usual. Was planning on changing the diesl filter before the winter anyway, so this was a good excuse to get it done! :)

Decided to do the Fly Eyes kit today!
First up, some "befores":

img0545hw.jpg

img0546d.jpg

img0548g.jpg

img0549lp.jpg

First washed with water, then rinsed with aceton.
(Also trimmed that little piece of silicone)

Of course it had to start raining, so i had to dive inside, bringing the fog lights with me.
By this point I was in love with this product. So easy to stretch and wrap around almost any edge or angle!

Here comes the "Afters":

Yeah I know that the car is dirty as f0rk. We'll get to that.

img0566p.jpg

Found some more bright and clear lights, thought I'd have a go.

img0569r.jpg

img0572x.jpg

By now I felt it was time for a quick wash! (would have been better to do it before ofc..)

img0573g.jpg

Still looks like a decent amount of light output. Will need testing in the dark ofc.

My new Hakka 5!

Some more/better "afters":

img0580mk.jpg

img0585hz.jpg

img0586i.jpg

Note: Found the product very easy to work with, even outside at +2C! Though a hair dryer is almost a must if/when you need to do some stretching. Dont know how long it took, approx 1.5h. Time well spent if you ask me! Only thing you gotta watch out for is that you dont scratch the film with the scalpel! Oh, and it smells a bit funny!

9.5/10 Stars for the product!
Let me know if you like it!

Alive and kicking!

Yesterday the power plant started to hesitate - again!
With all the same symptoms (delayed boost etc.), and now with added limp mode!! :(
So I thought I should do the "MAF test", by unconnecting it and then see how it responds.
Didnt do anything for me, except get even worse/pull less.

Thought I'd rather clean the connector, and decided to check the air filter as I was in the neighbourhood! Found the filter surprisingly dirty, and had it beaten before i soaked it in diesel. Rinsed it a bit, before I left it soaked for an good 2-3 hours.
img0545r.jpg

Dried of most of the diesel, and had the box closed again. Only bad news is that I broke off a chip from the "lock" on the maf connector while taking it off. :(

Had do to some test driving, and Im pleased to say that it runs very well. This again led to some half-inspired driving..

Grip from 4wd + spiked tyres = awesome! :)

Oh, and stage 2 front stealth will be done as soon as i find the time!

So fter removing the chrome list in the grille, I thought I'd try to tone down the shiny "S" as well. Never seen this done before, so I hope you guys like it! :)

Same treatment as the rest, washed with water, then rinsed with aceton.

dsc0007nj.jpg

It was a little off senter, and cracked from earlier..

Added some winter camouflage

Also got a letter yesterday, from the insurance company.. They tell me it looks like that the other part is responsible (no ****?) and that I can get the damages repaired if I pay my part of ~£1200! These money I'll get back if they find out that the other part is responsible.
:wtf:

My car was parked, dammnit!
Anyway I dont have that kind of money laying around atm, so I'd better call em on monday.
Oh, and I'll try to post the whole story as well! ;)

This is a somewhat rough translation of something posted on september 2.:

***
After getting a flat tyre rear LHS, three times(!) in one month, someone spoke to me about karma earlier this week. Well..

I was going aroung my house, heading for the basement.
At the same time, they were drilling for water at the neighbours. (new house wasnt finished yet)
Same place were the location of a huge Atlas Copco Compressor similar to this:
images

These ones works with high pressure..

Suddenly I heard a loud bang, and spotted something shiny travelling towards me in a h*ll of a speed. Agile as I am, I did NOT have the time to dodge, and was hit in the stomach!

But there was more in the air. Had noe clue about what it was, so I hit the deck, trying to protect face and head.

It wasnt until after I got back up I realized that the window of our guest room was broken..
Inside it was a hell of a mess, and I found a fist sized(+) ball from inside a vent, that aparently were supposed to withstand 50BAR..

It was about now I noticed my car! With a load of gravel on the roof, and elsewhere..
dsc0063d.jpg

dsc0068lq.jpg

end of story

Btw, the car was parked in the same spot as when it got attacked by paint..

I took my time and stopped by the local car dealer /garage on my way home today. Booked the car in for monday, going to get the car assessed(sp?), and hopefully the conclusion will be a complete respray! (and if that happens, im not sure wich color to go for, been thinking about platinum. advice?)

Oh, and I did the Copper Penny Battery Terminal Corrosion Preventive Mod! :)

Looks good.

Are they stone chips or paint specs?

Forced feedback ftw! :D

Those visible withe dots are paint specs. Actually happend prior to the gravel blast. (my bad while posting pictures anti-chronologically)

Good thing its going in for a damage report on monday.
If the repair costs exceed 25,000NOK or £2600, their insurance will be used. This is why i have to first tax it, then repair it.. :/
