Can they not be removed with Tar remover or even white spirit?

Yeah, atleast it was possible! This was months ago. Only thing was that I just spent 13h(?) detailing the car, so I didnt want to go white spirit all over it. Therefore, there was an agreement with the landlord, who painted it in the first place. Also, A few days later, me and GF were going to drive the car to Stockholm and spend a week there, so I didnt find the time to take it off. Neither then or later :(

Then a few weeks later that evil machine exploded..

Thats why its now getting resprayed, and thats why I want to do it platinum grey! :D

Just try the white spirit on one blob and see the results.

I would either go with same colour or a different colour all together. Maybe Track Grey which is a new colour for Seats mk2 leons and mk5 ibizas I think...

Yeah I did in fact try white spirit on one blob, but even though the paint was relatively fresh, there was just no chance i was able to get the paint off without taking the polish off as well.

I really stand between the to alternatives of 1) keeping the existing color (wich is L041 Black, I think?) or 2) Respray the outsides* in a new color.

I do like the platinum grey, but didnt find any good/nice pictures of the track grey. (for comparison)

*This is because insurance will most likely not cover respraying of the insides, for obvious matters, and hence it would cost me a lot of money. Also, black would not be the wors color to have on the inside. Yellow I could do without though!
I might not look stunning when you open the door, but I think its partly the fact that youre not used to seeing it. It might not be too bad, considering all the interior is black.

Thats just my thoughts tho, havent got too many opinions on the subject yet, neither is any decision made!

Collected an ice cube today!
It have been standing still outside in temperatures down to -20C for 9 days, so it was pretty cold!
Have had some issues with the driver (LH) side door lock (typical VAG, grrrr!) earlier, but now it seems like I need a new one..

Alsom Im getting compensated for the damages done by the gravel-shower, therefore there will be no respraying at this point! Well, well. Maybe I'd rather spend some on fixing other things then!

The place I come from, Røros, just had an rather special cold period!
During the last 10 days, the temperature never rose above -20C, with several readings down to -32,1! ..and they predict its gonna last even a few more days!

This is extreme weather even for Norway, thinking of that it started in november!!

Here I borrowed a picture, so you all can get the 30 below mood!

Ordered a set of H3 Nightbreaker plus' for the fogs as well.

This christmas didnt come out too cold, but we saw figures like -38C!

Also, I was at the workshop and had the valuation taken out today. Was predicted 10-15k, but ended up at 17k! (NOK that is, 17000NOK=£1850) :)

But this sum is lower than the guilty party's co-payment, then I stand to collect the money myself. Luckily I got the insurance lady to send a letter of request, etc.

The money shoukd be in my account within next week I recon! :)

Just changed from "white" MOMO fog bulbs to Osram Night Breaker.
Ive also put nightbreaker in full beam, and H7 for low beam is on its way.
Removed the old white / blue LED park/side-lights.

9 diodes on each. When I took them out, called, respectively, 2 / 9 and 4 / 9. : p

-Im planning charcoal lamin-x on the breaklights, and yellow lamin-x + fly eyes on the fog lights, and keep the fly eyes on the main headlamps. Possibly getting strange. Might need yellow on the headlights as well? We'll see. Oh, and YELLOW registration plate lights! :)

Yesterday I changed the glow plugs. This was much easier than I feared! It has not been so cold that I have tested them yet, but the old ones were considerably less. The price was 850,- NOK (~£85)
In addition, I got new aero(?)wipers from the "biltema" - Its like our Halfords I think :)

Real good updates although not a fan of the fly eye lights :)

Really wish I had a 4wd Leon. I think most do - it would have sold amazingly well in the uk.
