42 mph? I think you meant 142mph. make sure you proof read your posts![]()
the good..........
****ing pulls like a train.....- CHECK
interior i think is quite good on the cr models.
very comfoftable. - CHECK
kids love it WIFE MOANS LOL. - DOUBLE CHECK
i always gets comments and looks [NEVER HAD THAT WITH ANY OTHER CAR IVE OWNED]. - CHECK
lights are nice and bright - Factory Xenons ? - I dont have them but CHECK since i replaced the OE bulbs.
very easy steering control - CHECK and i didnt like the assisted steering in a previous car that loaded up at speed... the Leon is very subtle.
brakes are sharp as **** - CHECK... nearly killed the salesman during a test drive by decapitating him !
lovely roar when u floor it - CHECK... although i'm not sure if the TDi does sound good for a diesel or whether it has the fake interior engine noise speaker thing as well as the Cupra and Cupra R...?
the concerns...
when going round a rounabout or turning on a bendy road it feels as if the car really oversteers or dosent want to hold the road say 30mph.? - Will be the new tyres although i never rated the Bridgestones mine came on and the P6000 kwikfit slapped on at 12K miles have been even worse for the last 10K !
it ****ing drinks like a fish £20 when i first picked it up mainly motaway driving doing aound 60-70mph booting it now and again think i got something like 130 miles out of it and im in the red already...- Gets lots better... my overall average is now 50mpg over 25K miles and mixed driving.
the stealer says let it do a 1000 miles and the car will feel better, run better and get more miles to the gallon? - CHECK
currently its doing around 45ish miles to the gallon.
i think thats it.........![]()
lol thx for the comments.....
yer the steering is getting better now first of all i thought i couldent live with this ****....
and ive noticed with this car if u drive like a granny u will see good mpg,if u put ur foot down **** me it can drink, [WELL THIS 1 DOES ANYWAY!!!!].
and yes i do get a bit of a roar when my right foot is planted....
but the 1 thing a dont like is the bloody ride hight tohigh my vectra sri was much lower than the fr!!!! dont understand why they made it so high or is it the 18inch rims.?
also the ride is alot bumper than my vectra sri but i like it and i can live with that.
The ride height is high the 18" wheels actually make it look lower than it is. the FR is lowered by 10mm already. Sportlines seem popular on here to lower the FR. Ride is quite firm and lacks a little compliance trade off though is decent handling in the twisties.
I found the steering a bit too light at first and was unsure like you. But once you get use to it is pretty good and feels neither too light or too heavy.

I want to tag along on this thread as I today also experienced the (severe) lack of grip going 30mph around a roundabout in the wet.
My Mazda 5 and old 2010 Ford ka grand prix don't have this problem.
The FR seems to want to go straight on when I want to go right!!
No good! Any thoughts? Tyres? Suspension?
Any insight would be grand. It's an old puppy. 57 reg tfsi 2l with 65k miles

I've got some crap Gerutti stuff on the front wheels. Rears were replaced at dealer's when I bought it.
Reckon some p zero would do the trick?
Only got about 2mm of tread left on the fronts as well...
