the good..........

****ing pulls like a train.....:D
interior i think is quite good on the cr models.
very comfoftable.
kids love it WIFE MOANS LOL.
i always gets comments and looks [NEVER HAD THAT WITH ANY OTHER CAR IVE OWNED].
lights are nice and bright
very easy steering control
brakes are sharp as ****
lovely roar when u floor it

the concerns...

when going round a rounabout or turning on a bendy road it feels as if the car really oversteers or dosent want to hold the road say 30mph.?

it ****ing drinks like a fish £20 when i first picked it up mainly motaway driving doing aound 60-70mph booting it now and again think i got something like 130 miles out of it and im in the red already...[:@]

the stealer says let it do a 1000 miles and the car will feel better, run better and get more miles to the gallon?

currently its doing around 45ish miles to the gallon.

i think thats it.........:D

Hi
I owned an ibiza fr mk5 tdi from brand new and for the 1st 1000 miles or so it did no more than 45 miles to the gallon but after it had bedded in it just got better and better . When I came to sell it I was doin 55 mpg on short trips and nearly 65 on the motorway . Recently bought a Leon fr tfsi and I carnt seem to get it to do over 25 anywhere Haha :b .

45 mpg not bad mate especially if new quite a difference from the pre CR 170s I had 2 and could never get above 40mpg thinking of getting a CR soon if thats the real world economy then deffo will think about getting one when I sell my K1 cupra as a side note we have a CR 1.6 ecomotive and get arond 56mpg in that nowhere near SEAT figures

Steering wise, i'm no racing driver and I know I haven't the most sporty of cars, but after adding some eibach sportlines and getting the camber done the old motor is a beauty on the country bendy lanes.

My petrol FR came from the stealer with the alignment slightly out. Fixing that has improved the feel loads and (I think early days so far) helped on the motorway for mpg.

On the petrols, its like a new map kicks in at 300 miles btw. No idea if the TDi is the same. 300 miles was my 'run in' period! Going to give it an extra oil change at 5000 tho.

Tires will be brand new and no doubt still covered in the greasy release agent they use to take them out the moulds!

Tyres take around 300 miles to bed in as do breaks and even the clutch.

My FR TDi averaged 45.5mpg over the time I had it. The best I saw on a long journey was 54mpg. My FR TSi averages 36 and the best I have out of that is 44mpg so far.

With the cost of fuel you do notice it more even on more economical cars yours will be about 12p-13p a mile on fuel. Only way round it is a 50cc scooter that cost's £5 to fill and will do 150 to 200 miles on a tank about 1.6p mile but a bit slow :D

Yep me too although I do have 50cc Scooter/hairdryer for the winter and avoid the £1.50 work parking charge of using my car, it is even de-restriced and does 42mph whoaa. So I am sure I will need a new Speedo soon :D

42 mph? I think you meant 142mph. make sure you proof read your posts ;)

My Ecomotive 1.6CR gets 62mpg long term average - that's actual/calculated rather than what the computer says. I'm pretty pleased with that, even though it's less than the quoted figures. I have a long commute (mix of country, dual carriageway and city stop/start) and drive pretty carefully so not sure how I could improve on that unless I only did motorway miles and no city driving.

Your figures will definitely improve over time though - my FR TFSI's economy was still improving at around 20k miles.
