A joke is a joke but taking a members car picture on here, then photoshoping it, without their consent, to actually make a joke out of that person is pushing it a little too far?

While it did strike me as odd, a standard Leon with an FR badge on the back, its 22ssingh's car, and he should be left to style it however he wants. ;)

Amazing. Four pages of p**s takes at the expense of a young lad, and yet serious questions and advice requests seldom return as many replies.

We were all young once, and what seemed like a good idea to us then would be cringe worthy now. I'm impressed the lad's got a Leon at his age, I know my first car wasn't as impressive.

I've been on several car specific forums over the years, and stayed on them even when I no longer own the car, mainly for the banter. It would be nice for people not to have to worry about being shot down before posting. Otherwise, newbs won't bother posting, and only the veterans will remain. Surely that can't be good for owners knowledge or the forum?!?

Thanks guys, atleast some people actually understand. I ignore the photo edits and the rude comments because I know its not worth getting angry over, I mean I'm not going to argue with 40 year old men who have a problem with what I do to MY car over the internet, I'm bigger than that.

I have a FR front bumper on my leon, because I like the FR but wouldn't get insured on one at 19, and I was thinking to get a rear FR bumper to match it, and if I do get it I will think twice before posting pics of it on here, god know what "40 year old men" might start saying to me LMAO. Its funny but sad at the same time...

No worries. :) Regarding bumpers, have you considered the Aero/BTCC bodykit ?
As featured on the K1, PLUS select Leon Stylance model cars too.

Certainly unique and quite a bold styling statement. Quite different to the FR/Cupra front and rear bumpers, plus you could go the full way and fit sideskirts and rear tailgate spoiler. Plus with those you couldnt be accused of copying an FR or Cupra! :D

Just a thought.

A great though mate, especially because I wouldn't get accused lol (I hope lol)

I really like the K1 kit, but its about the cash really lol I see my self getting it done in the future but right now I'll have to stick with getting an FR rear bumper, I have a lot of expenses right now (mainly liked to my car lol) I just got a quote for replacing an AC pipe and regassing the AC and it came up to £489.62 :-o and then I'm nearly reaching my 30k service which will just be more money lol man I'm pi**ed

Mate, my age and your age has nothing to do with it, Why the hell do you Keep bleating on about my age? There are plenty of people on SCN that are past puberty you know.

Putting an FR badge on a car that isn't an FR is cringe worthy and insulting.

As I said before the Fr front bumper, mirror caps and tail pipes are fine because they are subtle mods. The FR badge is not subtle at all and screams "wannabe". Young people and older people are all welcome on SCN but wannabes will always get the pi$$ ripped out of them whatever age they are.

He/She (I have no idea what sex the OP is) posted a pic showing his/her reg number. This is fair game. You should read the rules about posting pics and reg numbers.

You don't understand do you? its my car so I can do what I want with it, you got a problem with that then do something about it, rather then arguing over the net

Oh no sorry, don't get me wrong, I'm not threatening anyone, I don't do that (over the internet anyway) Your right about your opinion, you think that the badge looks "fake" or whatever it is you said earlier, but one thing you need to get in you head is that it is MY car, so like I paid for it, its registered in my name, not anyone elses, mine. So if I want to put a badge on it, I'm going to put a badge on it, now I appreciate you opinion and suggestions, but they just don't match mine, I want the badge on it so it will stay there, sorry if I'm offending you but saying you age again, but just think about it, your 40 and I'm 19, and yet I understand that people can choose how to style there cars but you don't, sort it out mate

Couldn't agree more with Nath here - it's pretty pathetic. I was almost pissing myself sat here reading this! Would you go and buy a t-shirt from asda and then stick an iron-on transfer on it saying "Gucci"?? The funniest thing is that it's in completely the wrong place! You say you put it on because it looks good? Well, it really really doesn't!!! Why don't you get one of these for it?
Intel-Atom-Inside-BadgeTFTSThumb130130RC.jpg

It's about as valid as sticking that FR badge on it!!
You aren't fooling anybody either - anybody who owns a real FR or has the faintest interest in cars will immediately spot it - they won't be thinking "wow - look at that cool guy, he has a nice badge on his car", they'll be thinking "wow - look at that idiot".

As said before, you've taken a perfectly nice looking car and made yourself a laughing stock!

And age is nothing - I was 20 when I got my FR.

I couldn't agree more either, with the fact that you have an opinion, and in this case you think the badge is a bad idea, thats fair enough, but the thing it its my car and I want it there, so why the hell does that concern you? if people will laugh, that should bother me, not you

It doesn't bother me one bit, it's provided me with something to have a laugh about on what has otherwise been a relatively boring day at work!

^^^^:blahblah: I don't need to sort anything out at all, I'm 40 and I have my life sorted and I have everything that I want apart from a bit more spare time for my hobbies. I'm just having fun ripping it out of you because you just don't get what you're doing with your wrong badge. I know that it's your car and all that but you're still wrong and I'm loving that you're wrong. Even the 18-19-20 year olds that I come across at work have read this thread and think that you're wrong too. One of them who is a bit hip and trendy and drives a modded Saxo said that you have failed in an epic way

If it doesn't bother you then what are you going on about? you should thank me for that laugh infact.

On a serious note, all I'm saying (and keep on saying is) is that I will style my car however I want becuase its mine, its only fair, you can tell me it looks bad, but you can't make it take it off. Its like me telling you to change something on your car becuase I think it looks bad

I'll enjoy ripping you out too becuase your 40 now and still don't understand small things like its human nature to have different tastes, and that its normal for a person to style his car the way he wants lol
