Hi everyone I had the engine management light come on with my 184 2.0 TDI fr 2018. I code read it and came up with cylinder three glow plug error. Car started and ran fine and had been sat a few days in the cold as had a family trip to london. Anyway cleared the code and a couple of days later light came on again and same error code came up. I just wondered if anyone knows what the part number is for replacement glow plugs. Does mine have the pressure sensor one installed? So I would need three normal glow plugs and one pressure sensor one and is it better to change them all at the same time so not having to pay double again. Car has done 103k so they have done well. Any brand I should go for ?

Thank you so much for all of your help in advance.

If one has gone I would replace the four and I would go with the original make and get them from TPS

Just be aware that removing glow plugs can be a challenge and it is easy to break/damage them. Then it gets really expensive. I paid my garage to get someone in who specialises in replacing them (I had a go and very nearly messed it all up).

I also replaced my glow plug relay.

When I looked up my car details it said I needed a pressure sensor one. The garage said it didn't use one. So - check and double check.

Mine deffo did not but it does seem to vary. Mine is 2014 EA288 engine CUPA engine code. It's EURO 5 not EURO 6 with no VVT. I have no idea why some do and some do not. Not sure if yours is facelift and what the engine setup is.
Thanks mate mine is the cuna engine in a 2018 engine facelift so that's probably why there is a difference cheers mate

Mate of mine has a 66 plate Skoda Superb Sportline which currently has a failed cylinder 3 pressure sensor unit. Seems the pressure sensor one is the one that tends to fail on a regular basis
Thanks mate any idea why there is a pressure sensor one? What is it actually doing ?

Officially they only sell to the trade, but if you pop in or call with the exact thing you need, most will sell to the public, they just don't want to be dealing with people who don't have a clue what they need, or need their hand holding etc.
I used to buy stuff from TPS all the time no problem. Just walk in and buy over the counter. They changed it to account only and won't sell to joe blogs, I've tried. I even asked if I could open an account but no joy.

Your local TPS might be different, and happy days if it is, but I can't buy from my one any more.
