My 99p bargain is here :D

Its actually hardly damaged, where it screws in is loose but i reckon it's a really easy fix

Can't wait to get it sprayed

probably with the plastic valance mate, did you get it with the bumper? as it has the exhaust cutout.

Nah I didn't mate sadly, I can always buy one. Only thing is having the black paint may not match the valance, not unless I get that coloured too. I may just get the paint to match the valance, it should be fairly dark anyway. Just hope its not grey :p

With the exhaust mine's underneath the car, not connected to the bumper, I think i'll get one anyway. Cheers fella

Liking the chop there scott.matches the front facelift one (with the addition of a black lip of course :))

Yeah I love the photoshop scott, your photoshop skills are fantastic :D

I've done a PS myself and here hopefully this is how it should look

Bear in mind this isn't my car so excuse the crappy wheels

Bumper fitted, no mods (not so interested keeping it standard)

Bumper fitted, black paint (like scotts ps)

Bumper fitted, black paint, no reflective strips & smoothed

This looks awesome :) i'm hoping to smoothen out the reflective strips but it depends if it's legal otherwise i'll go with the paint only. Cheers again Scott for the idea

Yeah me too buddy :) hopefully should be done for next week

You think I should paint the rear valance when I get it? Not sure about the grey, I do think that matt black would look better

Ah I didn't know it was black as I know the pre-facelift ones are grey and horrible

I'll get that ordered then, cheers :)

I smoothed the reflectors out of my cupra bumper.
As to legality, it went through an MOT without a mention and Ive had it like that for maybe a year now.
Pics on my readers ride.

I think I will keep it legal though, I get enough cops follow me as it is heh plus the reflectors match the colour of the car fairly well so it aint all bad

Small update, my Pioneer headunit blew the other day so i'm without sound for the moment :( sadly out of warranty. Paid to get it fixed, £150 with vat, expensive but cheaper than buying a new one i suppose

Bumper is now at the paintshop :) hopefully should be sprayed very soon

i wouldnt pay to get it fixed mate, i would be too worried it would break again!! has it been a good headunit? maybe just splash out on a new one if you have your standard run to use for a while as you save

Yeah I was pretty damn tempted to say screw it but I did have to pay £25 anyway to get it inspected so it was either pay the extra £125 or pay nearly £300 again to get a new headunit of the same spec, sure I could of got a cheap headunit to replace it but i've been spoilt with it, I really love the design, movie playback and the many connectors on the back. I couldn't really of chucked it anyway heh.

I honestly wouldn't of gone for it because of the price and risk of it breaking again but they're giving me 6 months warranty once it gets repaired so that swayed me. If it was any more it would of been a no no

Tbf it was my own fault why it broke, silly me shared the amp's power with my headunits rather than running the amp off the battery. It worked for my mate but I was silly enough to copy him rather than buy some extra cables. Of course it's all set up correctly now but it's a little too late

oooh bad luck matey, but get it repaired, it's a nice unit. and get some seperate cables!!!
for the past few weeks i had random freq. dips with my subs and thought they weren't that loud anymore, checked it yesterday with bass tester. First of all it looked like the subs were playing out of phase until it hit a low note (like 15hz) and realised only one was working, the pressure of the working one was pushing the other lol. one of the cables in the box came out so I was giving 1200wrms of juice to a 800wrms sub lol. Funny thing it was still pretty loud by itself

Yeah I paid for the repair last week mate :) pricey but worth it, it does look the dogs danglies as does yours buddy. Yeah I got the seperate cables before my headunit broke, just a little too late sadly. The headunit still worked but the screen didn't and I had no control over the music which was pretty annoying heh. lol thats madness matey, always the way isn't it? Need to get an amp for my speakers now to go with the sub, my new(ish) front speakers sound amazing amped but just average off the headunit
