It has ran perfect with the DV the "wrong" way for a very long time so its staying as it is
The filter has a built in neck on it and there is no room for a longer one..
The 007p will operate not matter how you turn it, biggest problem will be the spring not being strong enough to maintain boost under full load. And ofc a turbo'ed car has to make the noise a turbo'ed car makes! 
Adding a long intake just removes even more intake noise, even though I know the MAF likes a steady flow of air. Looking at the stock intake it's also very short, never heard of anyone having weird MAF readings either.

Spot on Damo cant wait untill mine gets cleaned up a bit although ill keep my engine semi clean unlike someone haha

Weird, most of my friends including me we are using the blue spring on our forge valves.

I've got a nice 90mm cold air feed that I'll prob be fitting today

How much air does that thing get? I'm not convinced its much to be fair! There seems to be an inlet in the top right grill (as you look at the car) but its certainly not a straight path...

Slipping clutch
Well I need a new clutch as mine is slipping
Started yesterday, was stuck in very heavy traffic on a very very steep hil, start, stop, holding it on the clutch and I could smell it burning.. Just dropped the Mrs off and gave it a good test and its deffo slipping
