Damo quick question.
New lens looking fantastic. I'm sending these sodding wheels back I've had enough so I'm going to refurb my currents.

What colour are yours Are they just matt black (I'm colour blind and struggle with shades.
Also are your center caps black?! How/where did you get them?

Thanks

Chris.

lol

Thanks Kris. I'd say 245-250bhp is more a realistic number TBH.

What did you get after the Cupra?

I didn't get another car as I didn't really need one. I'm starting to look again at cars tho and still love the look of these Cupras so who knows :p

Hmmm...fluctuating boost...your MAP sensor ok? That's what mine was the other week when mine was doing that.
I will be watching this closely...have one of those INA manifolds sat in my shed, not got around to fitting it yet...

What power at the wheels did your's make, Adam? What torque did you make?

Yea, mani is worth doing if you have already maxed out your current setup.

Adam's 258lb/ft and yours 283lb/ft is quite a nice difference :) is this thanks to uprated manifold you think Damo ?

Thanks

Dont think its the MAP sensor, Will. And we have found what was causing the metalic rattle. It was/is the mani to turo gasket.

Fited a new gasket but managed to strip the bolt hole in the turo
We still got it tightened up enough so that its not blowing, but still makes the rattle a little.
Mani or turbo will come off again soon and I'l repair the thread with a helicoil.

Well I made 267lb/ft with the standard mani on... Yes, the INA mani helped get the 283lb/ft but I was also running +3' of timing on top of the stage 2 settings.

270lb/ft is easy achievable on the standard mani.

Is it possible that the cooler size could effect this or would that just cause lag and the same amount of torque?

I'm now changing mine for a much smaller version as it goes like hell once spooled up but its pretty laggy.

What diameter down pipe are you running?

Cooler size shouldn't effect torque, just help hold it for longer..
2.5" down pipe I think.

To be fair, the threads got damaged last time. :(

The 'spare' bolt doesn't want to be in the other hole for too long........

I know mate, I'll get some new ones next week. We've only got A2 ones at work....

Just an idea to your fluctuating boost etc. Strugers1 off here has a hybrid turbo on his TDI leon and it was fitted incorrectly before, had air leaks etc where it wasnt connected to the actually engine block properly, and bolts where missing. Before AmD found out the problem they tried mapping it and the boost at 4k dropped from 1.9 bar to 1.5 and at 4.5k the boost went back up to 1.9 bar. That broken gasket could be causing your fluctuating boost??
