Thats interesting  I'm with Admiral, with 1 YNCB and paying £530 and i'm 21. Always though Admiral were good, however where did you go?

Adrian Flux £400 all mods declared and covered £150 and I can lower the car as much as I want to and add more mods. Admiral are £600 few mods allowed and £250 excess I think it was. They are okay with basic mods anything more they screw their nose up, they got shifty with me when I said I wasn't sure how much the car was lowered and would have to ring the garage who did it the guy said I would just come back and lie about the ride height I nearly hung up!
They were fine 12 months ago when I took out the policy .

Anyway Scott I think you have made the right move wait a bit longer and you will be able to make a bigger step up on the engine size and be able to afford to go out and have a life as well still!. No point getting a car only slightly better and then in a years time changing again and forking out loads for insurance and being skint.

fuel aint fixed....put £10 in yesterday, quarter tank :) done 18.8 miles and the BEEP!! :( fuel light.

I dno what else to change, thats a full service, new fuel filter, different injectors and coolent temp sensor, i have also reset the ECU and re-aligned the throttle body.
Its wierd its like the light is coming on too early, it had barely left a quarter, defo isnt sitting halfway between a quarter and empty. So thinking of replacing the float that sits in the fuel tank that calculates how much fuel is in the tank. If its reading incorrectly then it could be the cause. Think they call it the fuel sender unit.

Thats crazy Scott! Sounds like the reading is incorrect. Think mine has the same issue, all be it, not as bad as yours!

i know, i cry a little inside as i can expect it coming thats how bad its got!!

what else reads the fuel? is it just that fuel float im gonna replace?

very very open to ideas here folks!!

people ask if i boot the car, yes i do but not alot, just now and then, and never enough to cause this kind of consumption, and as you can imagine im driving very carefully as i obviously dont wanna make it drink more.

I bet you if i put £10 and utterly ragged the ti*s off it up the motorway i think 10 miles and i could have the light on. Its rediculous

Scotty boy you wouldnt have this problem with a remapped ibiza fr derv;). You would be tanking most car and still getting 55 mpg :cartman:

 Only kidding mate, there is obv a problem bud, a 1.2 should never do that. And yours never used to. I would go with what you say and replace the fuel sender unit, hopefully it's just faulty!
