You only live once and as you say if your still living at home with no ridiculous mortgage, council tax, insurance, gas, electric, furniture costs etc etc etc... then now really is the time to have fun and enjoy yourself, R32 - VF Charger FTW!:clap::funk:

I'd quite fancy going down the facelifted TT 3.2 and charging that but alas I've already got all those bills so thats around £1000+ a month leaving my pocket before I even think about my car.

I was thinking about a Mk1 TT - but they're just not as practical at the end of the day. I do use the boot from time to time, and occasionally have passengers in the back, so a TT wouldn't really be any good. :(

Mk 1 TTs are fairly practical. You can ge ta bike in the back, with te wheels off. Yes I admit the rear seats are a little tight:whistle:. But who needs pasengers!!!

As for the R32/TT mk1. I know that the 3.2 V6 drinks fuel and also has high service costs.

Would you look at manual or the DSG?

Are you service/sales or general dogs body? will no doubt see you there when we come for servicing.

Servicing though I'd probably do myself! I do with the Ibiza these days and have a local bloke that does stuff like the cambelt and aux belts when they need doing.

The 3.2 will drink fuel if you drive it like that all the time, but i know someone with an R32 and he says he can get mid 30's when driving sensibly! Which isn't breaking the bank at the end of the day, as petrol is cheaper than diesel anyway!

I'm valeter/general dogs body. So i'll be outside most of the time anyway! :)

Just bear in mind the gearbox service if its DSG, and the hadlex system on the 4 wheel drive system.

I drove my TT (V6) sensibly..........sometimes and on avg it returned around the 27-28mpg.

I'm thinking manual. DSG only seems to be Mk5 Golf or TT.

Just been looking at HPA motorsports..... £4800 for a bolt on supercharger kit! :D :D All you need to do is uprate the injectors, all other bits are fine. No major engine work needed.....

You can buy turbo kits that'll take it up to 495bhp! Supercharger only makes 325bhp but keeps it sensible. Tbh that'd do me I think! :D

.....suprised to hear your even thinking of selling up so soon!
i can't imagine you've gotten used too the power and exceeded the :D factor of the hybrid already as its only been fitted a few months?

as said before by others, an R32 is an expensive car to run. my mate who had one barely got 28mpg when grannying it :ban:.....he got single figures  on the trip computer after some spirited journeys!

i'd seriously consider the running costs before parting with the derv.......suppose it depends how full your pockets get every pay cheque

as i said, just suprised to read your saying that your selling so soon......

I think the newer stage 2 versions of the VF and Rotrex superchargers can now reliably get around the 350-380bhp level out of the 3.2 VW and Audi engine with a decent intercooler or chargecooler.

Im not intending to sell up RIGHT now, but just thinking about it! The hybrid is good but I am used to it now! It's been about 6 months since I had it done!

R32's are just something that I love and really fancy! Tbh anything from the derv will be a downstep! Like I said in previous posts, the new 2.0tdi FR 170bhp Altea/Leon only returns 40mpg average as standard, so I'd rather have an R32 that does 10mpg less tbh!

My pockets arent that deep tbh, but I'm hoping I'll get a bit of money from the Ibiza so can put it towards a nicer car that I'll really enjoy! :)

Dont temp me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 Yeah right...

Tbh I wouldnt want to do loads of engine work, that's the only reason I hybrid the Ibiza cos nothing needs doing, just bolt on a bigger turbo. So supercharging an R32 is just a case of injectors.....I dont want to end up having to do pistons, conrods, valves, etc etc.

Plus a supercharger would sound very nice! :D

I wouldn't have thought the running costs of an R32 would be that much worse than my Ibiza to be honest, and I'm a student!

I love the sound of my car, which means I only get 200miles to a tankful, decent tyres are expensive, and being 2wd with little grip in the wet means they spin up more often too. Insurance is £700+...

If I was in you position I'd be doing the same, Ie something 4wd, bit bigger, super/turbo charged.

Only live once as they say, I've gotta wait a few years before I can change my car unfortunately, but if I was, it'd prob be something similar to waht you're doing. Infact, by the time I change my car, a TTRS might be affordable lol ;)

Thanks! :D Tbh I really like my Ibiza, but I would really like 4wd. Just the fact you can use first gear and get the power down alot better! And I'd like a bigger car, not that I NEED a bigger car, but if I could afford it, I'd have a HUGE car. I dunno why! But a Golf is a bit bigger car, bit more road presence, bit more room. Dont get me wrong, the Ibiza is plenty big enough for what I want, but I've owned it for 3 years now.....

Although - I have just bought something else for it. :D

It's cost £27. Anyone guess? It'll finally finish off something I did AGES ago now! But couldn't afford it at the time...

the pipe which comes off the airbox and onto the what would be called a throttle body on a petrol cant think what there called on a diesel but yea that pipe.

Tip? Noooooo.

Very nice car mate! Theres something about the wheels that makes me want a set lol

Cheers! They REALLY do suit the Mk4! :)

the front grill .............can't remember if you bought one following your poll........

BTW, have you thought about getting one of these? ;)

Nope. It's a black Cupra interior light. I've done all the headlining, handles, visors, but never got round to doing the interior light. So got an interior light coming! :)

That bush does look really good actually! Might be worth the purchase once I start back at work!
