Right, i finally got my ass in gear to sort out some problems as the MOT and TAX has ran out on the car.

First up to was to re-fit the repair core, thanks Forge again. Simple job which was hampered big time by the weather as usual.

Busted side..

Repaired the other side even tho i didnt know it was damaged!

Fitted...

Notice the broom handle holding the bonnet up as the bonnet lifters have gone AGAIN! Im on my 4th set now!

On to re-fitting my fuel pump as the fuel gauge never read correctly and this fella decided to help out. lol.

Now im sorting out the horn for the new steering wheel and re-fitting my makeshift washer bottle, a lucozade bottle.

Ill get some pics of the wheel when its fitted.


When its all tax'd mot'd and cleaned i will be doing some nice photos of the car as a whole, something which ive not done in a long time.

The pump is a 225 TT 4bar pump, fitted it about 8 months ago. lol.

Was it because you left the LCR float on? I have done the same just can't be bothered taking it out to put the Ibiza float on the LCR pump...

Looking forward to seeing some pictures! I take it track days are over for the year?

okey because like ibiza125 sad it have been some problems with fuel gauge so you have to change the float from lcr float to ibiza float on the lcr pump.You don`t need to do that on the fuel pump you have?

I just didnt align the pump properly. i swapped over the ibiza and 225's floats. Works fine now.

Im close to it dave, really close.

Car is driving me nuts now, the radio keeps turning itself on and draining the battery!! Grr.

At least most of the other niggles are sorted, just need to sort the roof rattle out and im goin to drive the car some more!

hi phil you know when you say you changed the float is it just the black bit on the end?? mines doin my head in now lol

The black thing on the end of a wire that moves up and down. Yeah i swapped the whole back end off, 4 torx screws iirc. Easy enough, just difficult to get the orientation of the pump correct so the needle on the dash is correct.

Congrats on the MOT pass Phil. Wanted to ask, where did you get your Black Forest engine mounts from?

I got them from an ex trader on here Vagworx, speak to INA or BFI directly as they must list the kit for them.

What car are they the same as? They don't list them for SEATs but some VW must share the same mounts...

Yeh i noticed that aswell. Im emaling BFi at the moment, waiting to hear back from them though. Do they work out the same price as the Vibra-technic ones?

I think so, but just hidden under the scuttle panel, works a treat.
