Alright for some, the engine wasnt convincing me anyway, its actually made me look forawrd to doing it now, 1400 is what its gona cost :O, suppose it aint bad as a bam engine 2nd hand is about 1500, then a clutch ontop of that, AUQ engine, bam piston and rods, new big end bearings, hone cylinders, new rings, head gasket & bolts, exhaust gaskets, inlet gaskets, injector seals, timing belt kit & wp, rocker gasket, plugs, oil & filter, coolant, then theres the other bits like a coolant bottle some hoses, oil cooler, dipstick tube, rad mounts, air con gassing, i will have missd some bits off but you get the picture, oh and an ECS magnetic drain plug, dogbone mounts, and rack mount bush power steering fluid, hose clips, turbo mounting bolts, make a new turbo support bracket, secondary water pump, cam postion sensor crank sensor. Thats about it matey should be a solid motor then.

After that comes an I/C and mapping... wooo

Bad luck (and i suppose good luck in a way that its not too bad)

Getting so close to getting it going too, keep on with it - ill steer clear of those plugs when changing mine in a few days i feel......

At least the heads not scrap though - going to need a new valve seat though isnt it?

Yeah valves seat is all new...

Not sure what is up with me today but i just can't be arsed with it..Just want it working that much is pissing me off...

If something ****s up on saturday they will be a parts list up lol...

If its had a new valve seat cut, i think you have to have the valve shortend dont you? Not quite sure how you stand on the vavles your running but i think you do on OEM.

Not sure on that one...Its in John capable hands tbh His the Vag Tech...

I can Feel my self Slowly giving up on it...I know il feel different when its running but i neeed to Feel Boost its been nearly 3 months now....

My Best mate has got his Turbo nova running with a Gt30 on it and when i was in it the other night at 1.2bar it was Scary the noise was immense....

Not sure whats been up with me lately tbh....But ive been to view and test drive a few New cars in my dinner hour....which i feel is the downfall..

So what im going is just move on and cut my loses and get another car....sayin that i started stripping it 2day...
Im gonna build the bottom end up again and sell it all on....Everynut and bolt...

Just currently making a parts list up .....Ive already got the number off and IC with pipework and id have everthing else off soon..

theres a for sale thread in the sale section..

Ive only Test Drove 2 cars so far both White Corsa & Astra vxrs and there were fantastic to drive...

Which one lol, and im not keen on the vauxhalls, fast in a streight line but handeling is shocking, there again a new shape i supouse is more of a chilled out car and not thrash it everywhere, why dont you look at a megane 225 you will be amazed how well they drive.

The corsa vxr is a true weapon mate in the handling area....

Im open to many things yet gonna wait till parts start going then il start defo looking...Ive had endless txts and emails already about stuff..

I`ll say what everybody else is thinking.

I guarantee there will be a post next week along the lines of, "i`ve been thinking and ive decided to keep it and finish it it owes me far to much money and ive put way to much effort in to it to give up now"
