Don't you guys have problems getting the power down in the wet? Does a standard Cupra have this problem at all?
That's where the skill comes into it..

Not with the transmission loss from the 4WD in the S3 which probably accounts for 60bhp
Lol thats rubbish mate.. All the 'launch control' allows you to do is launch the car from more revs than a stand still.. Im pretty sure you can do that in a manual too
slightly off topic but i guess all you guys talking about going fast with ben and his dsg have seen the recent thread about him?
Thats not good, has anyone got a link to the vid
Let's leave Ben out of this, shall we?
It's not relevant, the other thread was locked for a reason and it would be a shame to get this one locked too.
i have k1, and have the amd remap and im currently at 320 bhp, im wondering if there is some type of launch control like in other popular rear wheel drive cars to let me come off the line clean everytime. anybody know of such thing? thanks
You could buy a WOTBOX. I understand Regal have one fitted in their stage 3 GTI.
Before considering anything like that though you really need to try some proper tyres (R888's or A048's) alongside a proper suspension set-up (adjustable suspension with the rear set harder than the front),ARB's, engine mounts, WALK kit and a full corner weight alignment. You'd be surprised by how much you spend and what difference it makes to the power deployment.
I bet the new Bilsteins I have on alongside the cornerweight set-up would get me down to 13 flat on the 1/4 mile now.
You must be close to having spent as much modifying your car as you did buying it lad . How many remaps, suspension set ups, wheels and other stuff have you had?!
With regard to times, to be fair, you are also getting more experienced on the 1/4 mile . I remember Ben with only a remap, TBE (with 2.75" downpipe), 18" Pro Race 1.2's and a panel filter, pretty well matching your 1/4 mile stats. Therefore, is all that stuff really that necessary?
