Started doing abit more tongith due to the fact i got my head Remover tool in the post...

So the head came off with easy which was all good for me and to my utter suprise the Headgasket Looked & Seemed fine...Even though looks can be deseving.
So thats the Headgasket now Binned Ready for a nice new One:D

Once that was done i removed Cylinder 1 piston which needed some Fettling due to the engine being at TDC.
So i had to Tap Number 4 down to allow me more room to get the rod out as it was catching on the shoulder of the inner wall...

And got that out and swaped the rods over....Measured up which was the intake side of the rod and which was front & Back...
The Next Step for me was to inner inspected the Inner Bore wall for Depth marks and Genral Wear But to my suprise & my Mates(Mechanic) It was Uber Smooth and Clean...As were the other 3 Cylinders..

Next for me is to hone the cylinders and Fit my New Rings then Fit and torque up the rods..

I got one rod done tonight due to me needing feeding...
Big Thanks Once again to John & Alex :D

Another update with Plenty of pics:D

As i weren't on call this weekend i thought id spend a few hours on the car to get it totally stripped down and ready to be rebuilt back up again...

first port of call due to the nagging off curzon was to get the pistons out and to swap and lube the rods up....Which was prober easy stuff :D..

Then i started on the thermal side of things down the back of the engine,Ive bought some Heat wrap sleaves and blankets for all the wires and hoses behind the turbo as it gets uber hot down there...
Once that was done i started on changing the alternator over to my nice new one which i painted a few months back,But soon as i got the Alt belt off the tensioner snapped which i couldn't belive myself so that something else ive gotta buy...

Once it was swapped over i copper sliped it all back up and tighten up as they were a pain to get out in the 1st place...

After months of faffling about gettin the oil filter off i stubbled across this little gizmo in halfords for a £5 and i had the oil filte off in seconds....

last job was to renew the seals inside my dump valve to make it all nice and new was a quick little job which ive been meaning todo for somethime..thanks forge :D

O and i bought myself a tool box was a bargain for a £10
