That is exactly the set up I had. The MBC 'catches' the spike so it will not have a high spike but the N75 still controls the boost. I used some beefy metal Y pieces made to be used with carbs so they were nice and strong and they were also the same size as the tubing so there was no restrictions on flow. If your MBC has 3 ports then the one that goes to atmosphere could be teed into the N75 port that goes into the TIP.

What do i do about my afr though as its a tad too rich around 10.8/11.0 AFR...ive been told by bill & Pj i can turn the fueling down slightly to lean it out...

Its at 99.2% at the moment and its still to rich...Id like to see 11.5+ afr

That map wasnt done with an n75 so prob wont work right with one. I set your settings as Boost 9 and Timing 4 iirc. You need to up the timing a notch and use the mbc to the level you want it.

Sorted thanks alex...

Righto for me & Curzons Duties now ive gotta lean the mixture out a tad via lemmwinks should be around 11 & 11.5 AFR while logging the cfs each time id do this.
Also gotta ditch the N75 and re-plumb and set the mbc to 1.4bar while logging too...Alex seems to think my Settings are on Boost 9 and Timing 4 and hes told me to source a sps3 to up the timing to get the most out of it....

Has anyone got any tips on were and how to check for boost leaks?

Nice one for the help alex

p.s Does anyone have a SPS3 i could use to up the timing to around 5-6...Il pay mind..

Righto...

The MBC is all fitted and fined tune proberly and im not getting any high spikes like i was doing before hand and its absoulty flying to a point were its actually scaring me and the misses...

I just need to source a SPS3 or borrow one to up the timing but there defo room for improvment with my timing...
Ive Leaned Out my Idle Mix a tad bit as it was in the 13.6 & 14.5 so it was a tad too rich but seem to have sorted that out..

Next for me is to lean out the Underload mix a slight tad to around the 11.3 & 11.5 thus is what alex has requested me todo...
But i can't belive how useless Big turbo cars are actually in the wet...Lol tis all fun though...

So its just the High EGT thats the problem Pj on the Vf series?

also Are you thinking im gonna be using the 1.6-1.7bar on my IHI which the maps requests??????? which im not just 1.3-1.4bar hence the MBC

Also if anyones interested engine bays abit cleaner now...
dannyedit.jpg

how did you paint the intercooler pipes, do you need to sand them?

Hi Bill

Ive Been told of a numberous people that Unisettings is alot easyer than Lemmiwinks So ive downloaded the Unisettings of Vwvortex and its all in stalled...

But for making it leaner on Full w.o.t what does it come under section wise as my afr is 10.8/11.0.Is it the section fueling on increasing Load and i slowly bring it down from 100% and log each time....?so for example down to 99.2% then re log it and so on....

And also what part is it to make it slighlty leaner on Idle...As im seeing 13.8/14.2 so would need to make it a tad leaner...not much mind...

UniSettings and Lemmiwinks use exactly the same channels. So if you can use Lemmiwings you can use UniSettings.

Its just that some people find UniSettings more reliable than Lemmiwinks.
