Hi everyone ..

What is the Ideal AFR mixture?

As im Seeing 10.8 to 11.0 afr On Full W.O.T in 3rd @ 1.4bar all the way to the limiter...Now ive heard this mixture is to keep the EGT down...Safe tune or what ever they call it ive also noticed after some Searious fun with it....The Manifold Doesn't even glow like i thought it would.


But for people Saying ''How does it drive'' It feels a little too quick to be running right.if you get me seems i was too used for the old GT2x Spool..
Any advice thanks

Compared to mine thats richer than it needs to be on WOT even to be safe for the IHI. Make it a little leaner and you will get more power. Also holding 1.4 bar to the limiter would be possibly pushing it for your rods in some peoples eyes.

Currently bought a Revo select plus so i can sort out some of the timing Plus i haven't adjusted it via lemmiwinks...

I Don't drive it anywere on the nail though But rods are next on my list of thinks todo...

Also Pj how would imake it a little leaner?

Righto i did some logging tonight with Curzon & lauren to see what the Stock Revo stage 3 Is giving on my IHI but i couldn't take it to the limiter due to silly speeds and weather..

Ive Currently Got a SPS3 on order so its all good and my boost is set at 20psi...As for My AFR its around 10.8-11.0 On full W.O.T in 3rd to limiter..


But Curzon will Post up a Describtion and the Logs..

Right here we go not great logs as Danny didnt want to take it right to the limit and it was wet so it just kept spinning up

Then we changed the fuel on load down to 99.2% and did a few logs Danny still says the AFR is too rich but hes going to run it and test again when its dry see if it needs to be lowered some more or not

95.3% wg duty all the time and full boost by 4200 doesnt sound right to me.

Cant comment on the maf figures as im not that up on the scaling aspect.

Im gonna turn my Boost down 2morro..Seems thats 1.5bar were it should be 1.3bar ish..
Plus im more than certain ive got a boost leak.

You might be underboosting because youre using an MBC which you just told me so that would give false readings for the WG duty.

You have no way of knowing now if you have a boost leak because your MBC might be bleeding off the boost to the required setting on it.

Personally i would go back to basics, stick the N75 back one, drop the boost to something like Boost 4-6 see what the WG duty and requested boost is like and go from there. If your hardware is good then you can use an MBC and so on.

Youre running before you can walk i think.

I don't know which gears you're using for the logs, but by the number of samples, i'm guessing 2nd and 3rd.
You really need to find a dual carriageway and nail it in 4th from under 2000rpm, all the way to 7000rpm.
You should see 1 bar by 3k and 1.4 before 3500rpm, but you won't in second, and in third you'll need to floor it at tickover to give the turbo enough time to spool. Use the higher gears, and you'll probably see wg duty drop aswell, though I'd still expect to see 80%+ at full boost, rising to max duty cycle by 5500rpm.

The airflow looks healthy. if you rev it past 6500, you'll see 240+ and maybe ever 250, which is bang on.

Don't worry about the afr. It's safe, and again it will be better controlled in the higher gears. Timing looks OK.

Install your MBC so that it limits maximum boost, and let the n75 do it's job. The mbc will stop boost overshoot then, but not control the boost.

So it should spool sooner if i do it in 4th gear from low down like you mentioned..Also how do i plumb the N75 & MBC in together to work with each other...I mean Would it spike then settle or would it just hit and hold?

What Should i do with the AFR Wilko...Should i leave it as it is and or lean it out(Slighly) by using Unisettings...to make it Closer to Low 11's as at the moment on Full WOT its at 10.8/11.0 AFR...

Just Awesome Damo Cheers gonna do that now...If i can find my old t-peices..

How do they basically work together? Is it additional Spike (N75) then the MBC will Control the Boost(hold)....If so how do i turn the Spike down via a Sps3?
