Wilko also warped lots of exhaust housings and broke many IHIs just like Bill. He also predominantly got his best results with revo on td units that are bigger than the vf you have i believe. I understand you wanting to try something different but vf turbos are quite fragile compared to gt ones which is what your map is for. Your turbo is able to produce more power than its safe to run it on and doing this is when it will go pop or warp.

You might not know if it has worked out until its 6 months down the line and you have a turbo thats as useful as a paperweight which you have to replace at your cost, time and effort. I dont know what your deal is so whats your chances of a refund on the revo from backdraft then? Basically mate after all the work you have put in nobody want to see it end in tears and alot of the advice you are being given on here actually comes from people that have no only had big turbos but also killed them and had issues with them.

So its just the High EGT thats the problem Pj on the Vf series?

also Are you thinking im gonna be using the 1.6-1.7bar on my IHI which the maps requests??????? which im not just 1.3-1.4bar hence the MBC

Also if anyones interested engine bays abit cleaner now...

High egts arent the only problem but a big one as it warps stuff. Another biggy is failed bearings. 1.3-1.4 bar could still be too much especially if it spikes higher than that or its sustained at that level. Bays looking good.

This is the discussion Me and Alex are having

A MBC will stop a boost spike but will holding but a N75 can Peak then settle but the disvantage of that is a boost spike....

....Seems Bill maps his for 1.3bar so il keep mine at 20psi which it is at now via a MBC...

I really dont see an issue with trying the stage 3 file. If it runs well on the car then perfect. With the revo, the timing can be slightly changed to get the most from it. Dan isnt going to run high boost and he moniters the afr to check for safety. All im waiting for is some logs to be sent over once the mbc is fitted to make sure everything is fine. Lets just wait and see from the logs to make a judgement.

I agree with Alex. ^^^^

The price he paid for the Revo Stage 3 file is little irrelevant. To buy it new would cost close to a grand.

Would it not be better to turn the load (boost) down with Lemmiwinks rather than useing a MBC, Danny?

Just a thought..

I would'nt call it cheap benny...

Like in my earlier Posts If the Stage 3 doesnt work...Il get a refund agree'd by BDM...
I wanted to try something New as i knw Wilko Ran stage 3 on his IHI With 550cc Injectors And made excellent Power...(IHI)

But He ran his Extremely Hard very Hard Indeed Boost wise Which I aint.... On full Boost Im seeing 11.5 AFR, Now from what ALEX & KEV have said aswell as others that Pretty Darn Good...Since I got the map Done it idles better and spools Better too..

Ive only Took it to the 6.3krpm to see what the afr was as me and alex were discussing it...Ive gotta use the Vag-com & lemmiwnks to see whats what and were i stand But im on full boost which appears to be 3280rpm....(20psi)
I Fully well know that a CUSTOM map is always the best option but theres only been 2 people Running stage 3 on IHI WIlko & Now me....

Worth a Serious Punt is it not...Just seems every update i do to the IHI Seems to get reasonable question then someone else will Jump On to the band wagon...Mensioning no names...

Bill:
Thats wasn't a sly punt at you i was just sayin thats all....

This is my final contribution to your threads/posts..

Comparing a 1mb wideband ecu on wilko's to your 512k non wideband ibiza ecu is ill advised.. wilkos was not stock file, and not on the same platform.... ans he has consummed more than a few IHI's.

good luck
be carefull
you risk a few tears travelling this path
