This is an awesome project and I can't wait to see how it turns out. 
If you think about it not much money is being spent compared to someone who doesn't make most of the stuff themselves!
It's just the time it takes to build I would expect!

arsome replys guys , im on just under target at mo , so i can splash out on afew extras ,,
and sorted ms unit out got the dam thing reving now on 6 pots ,, am chuffed its sounds mental ill get a video sorted and stick one on for u just glad ive managed to rewire a set of mk3 vr6 clocks into a mk1 golf caddy without useing a mk3 loom ,,,so .temp/speedo/rev counter/fuel/warning lights/maf
managed to get the dam feul gauge working too lol
(saves buying extra gauges and re wireing)
its shocking on fuel 1gallon per 5mins reving 2000rpm lol , may have to make a gas conversion at this rate ,,
quick runing down of saveings of making myown bits
rear axle cut all shorted drives./bars/mounts (priceless lol)
engine mounts 9.00 for 4 lol , homemade mounts to suit
homemade intake/short runner 20.00 retail for a flashy polished one 400 ochh
homemade twin scoll manifold 80.00 for pipe , to buy 400/600 och
dash conversion 25.00 to have fitted ant a clue
wireing everything up , would be a dam fortune , so did the lot myself (evern thow im useless with wireing , ive managed to sort it
metal and plate .(scrap bin) 40 the lot
seats 30.00
engine 400.and adaptord the first ms to run on this engine to have one fitted would be over 1500
6speed gearbox/transfor box bargin 150 for 2 /carnt beat a spare lol 200
caddy 200 lol
ms unit ebay 200 and converted and maped it run 6clyners adding a spark driver and map/settings
i set a target of 2k and im well on target ,,,,

awesome! Glad its working out for you, cant wait for vids! Where abouts are you from? I saw you mentioned york raceway so you cant be too far away?
Really inspirational build up, can't wait to see the thing built up and tearing up tracks (gotta be the pod for sure!!)

this was a nippy mini runing 400bhp 4wd i thought am going to get wasted so thought chuff it i risked blowing the engine and turned the boost up to 1.5 ,,, video to prove

Red Mini Estate, has got a modified Nissan Pulsar floor pan (plus running gear,etc) with a mini body on it. The guy's been bigging himself up on Turbominis.com saying he's going to whoop serious ass this year as he's got it upto 440 BPH !! Bit of a red face for him then !!
now it just sits in garge for the past nearly 2years and hasnt been out since

i also did another ,lol but due to a none insured driver hitting the vechical , (lucky i wasnt in it) ,was wrote off ,which was a old 1961 vw splitscreen pick and a modifyed a 3.0 v6 quad cam /and engine adaptor and short shift earbox and have to have was a wolf in sheeps clothing , it would eat a ex pod volvo t5 0 to 100 lol
