Got the car back and its sounds lovely on idle nice little deep burble which is nice...Had to sort a Leaking Injector out as it would'nt idle With the Maf Plugged in so thats all Sorted...

Got a few things to tidy up and paint then its there...Im not 100% were id benefit from a Methanol Kit But got my engine rebuild & Bodywork Under way now.
So all the funds are going on that...

Anyway got my Scat Rods this Morning From INA (issam) so im well chuffed with them,So once i get paid in a weeks time i can source all the service Parts eg Headgaskets,Big end Bearings ect...

I only took one rod out as there coated in some Grease..

As usal Piccys..

As im seeing 14.3-14.6 on plain Idle..Just trying to understand my Guage Readings thats all

As im seeing 14.3-14.6 on plain Idle..Just trying to understand my Guage Readings thats all

Thats fine for idle. 14.7 is stoich which is perfect for idle. It will flicker around that number from low 14s to low 15s as its only controlled by narrowband.

mine sits perfectly on 14.7 on idle

they will flick about 14.7 as thats what narrow band controllers do.. they are switching lambda probes..
if your gauge stays steady its got a lot of signal smoothing being applied and refresh rate is likely damped. (sometimes adjustable in software if you can access it)

Thats Cleared a fair few thing up for me...

Going to be dropping a Spare cylinder Head ive got off 2morro at a mates of mine to be rebuilt..

The Following work im having done is:

Light skim
Check valve Guides
New Valve Seals
New Valve Spring
New Seat cuts

Then acid Dipped then put back together for £150 Which isn't bad...I can't afford my Bottom end to be done yet as im Spending the money on Bills methonal kit when i Get paid...

Bottom end can be Next Month Then he can fit my New Head...

Been In touch with jabbsport for the following Bits has come to £152.65 Posted...

Head Gasket
Cam Cover Gasket
Valve Stem Seals
Cam Shaft Seals x2
Exhaust Manifold Gasket
Inlet Manifold Gasket - Small Port
Crankshaft Oils Seals
Oil Housing Gasket
Special Silicone for Sump
Oil housing 'O' Rings
Copper Washer

Then id have to get Big end Bearings & Piston rings...Does that seem Resisable people?

Had a Few Hours Spare tonight before i get ready to go town...So Done some final Prebing the result on one side ''Nearly'' finished...Few small Blemishs on it maybe 1 or 2 but its needs flatting down still and atleast 2-3 more coats of filler primer...

Right can someone tell me that all 1.8t are the same bar the 19mm And 20mm Wrist pins...

The reason Being Ive got a Spare AUM bottom End in the shed which im going to bore out and fully rebuild....

Ive got Scat Rods at the moment so all id need is piston Which fit 20mm Wrist Pins? as the AUM ones are 19mm Correct...

Would Fitting LCR/S3 Piston Be any Benifical:? As my Mates whos rebuilding it says its mucho easier to rebuild my Spare block & Head then once there done Fit all the Ancillairys on too it...

Whats everyone Think?

was going to but cant now due to funds...SO just getting it de-galzed ect could i fit 81mm pistoms with 20mm wrist pins phil? and use my AUM Bottom end?

As ud now i have Scat rods(20mm) so all i need is Piston to match and they'd fit straight in to my AUM Bottom End?

i can't bore it out due to funds as the cost of the boring & New Pistons....

Plus whats the problem with me changing my mind bill...Its my Build so don't you think im allowed to change my mind on different things and as many times as i want.!!...

no, what Bill means Danny is it comes across confusing as to what exactly you want

As to myself and many others, the spec seems to change quite frequently or at least there is a lack of clarity to the supporting internal modifications that will be present when the car is mapped - fair comment?

Just Got back from Audi and placed an order for a 2.0 tfsi s3...

So the cars gettin broken and scapped....Seems as a family we need a fully working car...This isnt my idea but i need a working car...
