What is the most cost effective way of getting the 1.8t cupra to 300 bhp?

is there a direct replacement for the k03s?
can it just bolt on? or is a new manifold required?

ATP gtx2 or a k04 upgrade?

You could get a k03 hybrid (which is basicaly a k04 inside a k03) which will give you ~280bhp, but you will need a high flow manifold.

Standard manifold is only good for ~250bhp.

What is your budget?

Do not really have a budget but I wouldn't really want to spend say over 4k or so say . . . .

just like to price things up.

how much more would the gtx2 be compared to the k04 hybrid? what other bits would I need?

injectors, new manifold, TIP, new exhaust?

For your budget I would go for a GT28.

Either way you go you will need:
Larger injectors
Larjer MAF
LCT/TT or custom TIP
Hight flow mani to suit what ever turbo you go for
Larger down pipe with high flow cat and cat back exhaust
Uprated engine mounts
Maybe uprated intercooler piping.

Try asking Bill (Badger5 section), he can put togeather a kit to suit your budget.

Thanks for the reply.

gt28 is abit over kill if your just after 300bhp isnt it? think if seen a mk3 running 350+ power. If your only after 300ish brake would that be the best option?

Just because I have 4k to spend i'd like to save a little for a few track days

With the 280bhp k03 hybrid would you need new injectors?

Ko3 hybrid requires LCR/TT injectors mate.

What about a IHI VF34, max out at ~320 but with a good 300bhp tune.

so if your changing the turbo to any other you would need to change all of the things been listed? and the difference is just the turbo?

Thanks for the breakdown Ric 2001!

So thats everything I would need? What would the fitting for the turbo, manifold etc be?

Would a DIY be possible? then take it to get mapped etc
