Super anoyed by it all, went to the trouble of popping round a mates to try out the seats in his newly accuired classic scoob. Felt nice and snug so I bidded on them. Dont really know the procedure when this kind of thing happens on the bay, I deffinatly want to piss him off slightly :)

Update!

Not a great deal has gone on in the past few weeks, I was hoping to get the car MOT'd and on the road this month but my welder dude has been busy.

Finaly got all the wheels on with a decant ride height. Raised the fronts 20mm which was a nightmare but luckily no need to touch the backs due to the weight loss.

Much better angle than I used to run it

This took me the best part of a day to adjust, hence the damage to the butter collar. Coated in a dry lube to stop dirt sticking to the threads.

Another hole :( Drivers side floor, that was where a bung was!

Took this stupid lump of steel out from the front subframe, something to do with vibration frequency? You know you want a picture........

And I still cant get away from 3x2

Cleaned up the strut with my trusty grinder and a file, hopefully getting the welding done Wednesday......fingers crossed.

Im going to make a plate to fit snug in the square hole and get that butt welded from inside the arch, grind that up flat then weld 2 further plates (I couldnt get a single piece to shape) to make up the remaining lost material. Then a few stitch welds along the seam in the bay to finish it off if possible. Also ordered some sikaflex sealant to run in the seams and around the welds to ensure no water to get in. The hole in floor is going to be patched from inside and sealed underneath as I cant see it being easy to butt weld a piece in there, plus its piss thin metal.

What we think? Would like some more experienced views if possible.

Cheers :)
