LC APR Stage 1 - updated logs...

Ran the car the other week at RS Tuning RR day and it only made 186bhp. Now I know there is the old dyno lottery but I was first on at 10am and last time on the same rollers I made 173bhp with out the APR stage 1 and CAT back system. I was expecting around 205-210bhp maybe more if I was lucky.

Don't really know what I'm looking for - so any help or advice would be much appreciated. I can upload the data in a different format or e-mail it required.

Thanks in advance...

EDIT: Logs remove and replaced with better ones below.

Very hard to see whats going on there as everything is too small, J.

Just copy and past straight from the excel file and add (code) before and (/code) after but replace () with [].

Ok mate I'll sort it lunchtime today. I thought it was hard to read but didn't know you could to the (code) thing.

None of them can realy be called a power run, J.

You need to do them in either 3rd or 4th and go from about 2.5k rpm to redline with no gear changes.

Might be worth asking Dave to have a look too.

Ok mate... the wife was driving cause it was the first time I've ever logged anything. Now I know how it works I can go and to a full run in 3rd.

Last night I got her to go from 2k, then slow down and boot it in the next gear from 2k.

I've got so many questions:
1). Block 003 - what should a strong MAF slow on the air flow?
2). Block 115 - what should be the requested/spec boost be on a mapped car?
3). Block 118 - what should the air temp do, go up, level out, decrease?
4). Block 118 - should the duty cycle be 0 or nearly 100 all the time, what is a good number(s)?
5). Block 032 - should the O2 Adapt be a negative number?
6). What do blocks 002, 114, 020, 031 tell me, and again what are good numbers?

I'll PM Dave like you suggest - I'm sure between the pair of you I will find out whats what.

Thanks mate... J

1) MAF on a mapped k03s car sould be circa 170g/s @ ~6k rpm
2) Depends on the actual map. On my stage 1 I was getting about 1.1-1.2 bar requasted. Spec (actuale) boost shoule be nearer enough what the requasted is, sometimed its higher.
3) Air temp should come down a little from ambiant temp then start to rise as you get higher up the rev range.
4) Duty cycle should be between 70-90% I think. Duty cycle is how much the ecu is telling the wast gate to open to hold the boost requested (I think).
5) I think its your lambda sensors.
6) I think its your A/F (air fuel mixture)

I',m sure Dave will be along soon to put me straight :)

Done some new logs lads. Couldn't manage 4th gear so I did the best I could in third.

Hmmm

Boost looks fine, actuale Vs requested are good but your pulling some cf's for some reasone. Intake temps are hight which could be the case..

Thoughts, Dave?

Block 020, cf's = correction factors accross the cylinders, where the ecu is pulling timing back therefore reducing power.

Yea, MAF reading looks a little low. I'd expect in the region of 170g/s. Might be worth trying a cheapo open cone filter to see if it helps with airflow. I noticed a difference when going from a Green Panel filter to pen cone.

I was pulling similar g/s to you when on stage 1 map but I had a problem with the map.

Clean the TB today and used VAG-COM to reset it. Now the CF's are worse. I thought that would help?

Ok, cleaned the MAF and the Green panel filter at the weekend and it looks like its now pulling a few more g/s and carmed down the CF's a little. I did two runs tonight and both showed a small improvements:
