they had the car this afternoon in stead and all they done was a pressure bleed and whats the point as some one else done this the other day so i went and picked it up and its a bit better but still a bad pedal but its a bit more ageressive now but still not brilliant dont know why they never checked the other bits..

maybe it is just air in the system then as my garage pressure bleed it then did the abs bleed proceedure on vagcom then it was a little better maybe they just have to get all the air out and this may take like 10 pressure bleeds!!!

mine is good when i first start car up from cold and choke is on the brakes are better and leave car running to warm up and after a while they go spongey, and people say i should be able to pump pedal to get more pressure but it still stays spongey when cars running,

see a mate of mine whos a mercanic he had a look and play round with the recalled vac hose to servo and blocked inlet mani off and the hose start engine and pump pedal till it goes hard switch off and do it again then re connected it all and since then they are workin brilliant he thinks it could have been one was valve on the hose or some thing but mine been good for two days so far no problems...

we run engine till warm the switch engine off and took servo hose off the manifold and blocked it up and bolck off the manifold then start engine and pump pedal till solid then we switched engine off and started it again then just pump pedal again, then turn engine off and put hoses back on as normal and it seem to fix mine, except on way home from work i got stuck in traffic and it made my pedal spongey again but i got home left it 1hr and went out in it and its hard again so im confused..

i really dont see how this would cause the brakes to work, i agree it would cause a vac in the piepe but when you unblock the holes surely the vac in lost not doing anything!!!

it was like the servo was not assisting when i pressed the pedal and might have some thing to do with the one way valve in the vac pipe , but when i think about seat changed the vac pipe over the end of march for a re-call under warranty and they not been good since they done that really but i thought nothing of it just left it..

i really dont under stand this cause the problem is when engine gets hot and when the fans kick in i cant get dump valve to work and car is like a slug when fans are on and it effects my brakes as they go soft and spongey when engine is hot ... so i dont have a clue

yesterday we took the servo pipe off the mani and put back on and brakes was really bad.. so we run engine till really hot and fans kickin in and out with servo hose on mani then we started to take the hose off the mani slowly as it can cause engine to stall, and we just took it off enough so its not connected for about 30sec then put it back on still with engine running and ever since doing this my brakes are fine even when engine gets hot.. so not sure if this is a proper cure for this but it worked for me..

mate it cant hurt by giving this a try can it plus it only takes like half an hour to do im willing to try anything!!

my padal when spongey just pushed straight to the floor all bar 1inch then it would bite when braking and it was agressive not smooth and it dont take to long mate just run engine get it hot then start to take the hose off see if this works for you it made my pedal harded straight away..:)
