How do you cope with insurance??

i'm planning on getting something simular in couple of years when i can afford it and the insurance

you could atleast do the prep work! why not paint it by hand? that laquer paint drys pretty smoothly

Cos i want it doing properly! Yeh I can prep it myself but I'm not gonna do that until it's going to be painted!

Insurance is a case of grin and bear it I'm afraid! But so many people have told me, if you dont do it while you're young, you'll never get round to doing it! So I'm doing it now while I'm young, single, go no ties and nothing to spend money on!

Well this is what I've been up to today. Started off like this:

I had them stripped back a few weeks ago and gave them a bit of a clean up then, today i've painted them and sorted the pistons. Just need to give them another coat, finish painting the calipers and then get some pads/discs sorted.

Can't believe you have only just thought about 312mm brakes!!

Did those before I started anything else! More confidence in the car before the remap...

shame the boot got left open on the other car though.
did you ever manage to get hold of braided brake lines?

That's cos you're a big girl.

Tbh I'm not hard on the brakes at all! I'm just upgrading incase I get a speed on and realise the 288's arent as good as I need!

Yeh it looks like a massive roof spoiler dunnit!

I got some TT brakes lines and they're internally braided!

About 80mph I'd imagine! Wouldn't have been anymore cos I didnt do any faster.

Cheers fella. My calipers used to be red but I painted my current ones blue quite a while back as I wanted something a bit different.

Yeh - managed to loose the retaining clips for them though! Cant for the life of me remember where I've put them so will need new ones!

I'm booked in at RS for 12th June. What's it yours having done fella?

Yeh Alton Towers was great! Shame about the roads getting to it!

should get new retaining clips when or if ya get new pads really

goin to ring up tomoz and book it in for stage 2 remap BUT also need new clutch so havion that done in a few weeks want the remap first

what clutch and flywheel ya go for in the end how much was it if ya dont mind me askin also whos fitting it for ya.

yer the roads are really poo some of the roads are nice my girlfriend goes really fast round them which scares the hell out of me

I've got a Sachs uprated clutch in mine atm that I'll be selling once I get my new Helix setup. Gone for Helix and a SMF. Didnt want to but want something that's gonna handle that kinda power!

Stage 2 map should be good! What are you running now?
