A bottle I got from a shop what sells brake fluids. Just get 2 litres of fluid and follow the instructions in vagcom.

where are the instructions you got a link, because i ran mine for 10 seconds and it only used bout a cm of fluid in the reservoir, can you go through the whole proceedure for me as i will be doing it tomorrow, before i give it to the garage, how did you do a pressure bleed thought you needed to give it to a garage????

Theres no need for instructions, just make sure you have 2 x bottles to catch fluid,2 x pipes to go from the nipple to the bottles and a spanner to undo the nipples

Start the vagcom procedure as I've posted and follow the steps in vagcom to the letter, thats all you need todo.

You don't need a garage to pressure bleed the system, halfords sell a gunson pressure bleeder for a tenner that use tyre pressure.

Its not difficult.

abs bleed using vagcom... problem solved.

wheels off floor inigtion on

Procedure for Bleeding the ABS Brake Pump on VW Golf, GTI, Jetta, and Audi TT:
[Select]
[03 - ABS Brakes]
[Basic Settings - 04]
Group 001
[Go!]
This will trigger the ABS pump to turn on for about 10 seconds. You should hear the fairly loud pump clicking during this time.
Click the [Done, Go Back] button and you're all set.

how does this proceedure use two litres of fluid, you mean do this proccedure then pressure bleed the brakes with the two litres of fluid to flush out the air???

2 litres of fluid... too drink... what else are you going to need 2 litres of brake fluid for!?!

'Start the vagcom procedure as I've posted and follow the steps in vagcom to the letter, thats all you need todo.'

Did I not???

Though on second thoughts I'd recommend you take it too the garage and leave it too professionals.

Have you actually done what I posted?

Clearly not, otherwise you wouldn't ask for instructions.

The vagcom procedure I have posted is not just turning the the pump on for 10 secs, its rather more involved and requires plenty of fluid.

Rather than ask pedantic questions, why not use the advice and it possibly may solve your spongy pedal!

check your brake lines as i found my caliper had started to strip a thread (tarox 6 pots) causing air to start seeping in. check the hoses to make sure they are not perished/porous which run from the resovoir to the m/c.

If not for the sake of the money they cost i'd be changing master and slave cylinders as there isn't much left to blame!
Only other thingis if thereis a bias valve it may want some more front bias due to an upgrade in brakes?

jack the car up with the wheel up one at a time and jigle the wheel and see if there any play!! thats if your brake needs pumping up when your driving but will stay pumped up if your on a stand still, this is if there is play the disc will course the piston to go back in the cailper and you will need to pump it out if you under wot i mean!
