All depends what you're after really, price range from £100 to over £1000.

I'd say go with a good springs and shocks kit, maybe something like the Weitec and then get an uprated set of Eibach ARBs.

What are those JOM kits like mate?

I was gonna get a set of coilovers for £170 but am thinking they might be a bit harsh for the country roads where I live

Do they lower the 1.8t Leon Cupra 40mm front and rear as I've seen other kits that say 40mm but only lower the cupra 30mm?

theses cars are falling in value by the min... you got to ask yourself is it really worth it!

ive wasted lots and lots on cars and i wish i didnt, map it and leave it alone thats my new car buying/modding motto!

it isnt easy to come by for some mate, but this guys obviously got it, so positive advice on whats best to spend it on is what hes after tbh, so he doesnt spend 100 quid on a universal exhaust and the like.

im 22 mate and i do see where your coming from. specially in todays market. just wanted to see what a grand could get me really. would benifit from a proper suspension tho as i said the roads are awful! do miss the sound of a exhaust tho so will prob invest in one of them and a suspension set up. as i said more into looks right now so prob go with the fabia/areo wipers. window tint all round. gonna have my wheels and calipers sprayed on the weekend and pop up the crappy for a smaller arial lol. seen a front splitter on ebay for £40 are they worth the money? i cant see what you gain from them or is it purely for the looks

You can get the splitter for half that price mate from a dealers or someone on here.
I know what you mean about the IOW roads as I go there every year in Summer.I love the place.
There is 1 good road though

I Live On The Isle Of Wight, As You Can Imagine Its Full Of Old People And No Real Roads To Put Your Foot Down On So Performance Is Not Top Of My List. Would Rather Have A Nice Looking/Sounding Car Over Speed. What You Spend The Money On To Achieve This

Jordy, being a fellow isle of wighter, id suggest getting the handling sorted out, invest on upper and lower ARB's and some decent springs/dampers. Dont worry about a remap until youve changed a few things. Try a cat back or turbo back exhaust system if you want a new exhaust, other than that panel filter, DV, TIP, etc.

Gimme a flash when you see me out and about.

Jordy, be careful with the LCR splitter, im struggling with mine at standard height, so it will be alot worse if you do the suspension and drop it.

Was over last month for a quick visit and had a quick blast from Blackgang to Freshwater and back

yeah back of the wight. death road its also know as lol. lot of boy racers use it. went down there about 3months ago and had a car on its side in the middle of the road infront of me. got out and ran over and found another car down the bank on its roof (about a 10ft drop) two idiots chasing eachother one flipped and the other swerved out the way and ended up down the bank. blackgang to freshy and back. has to be the best part of the road.

I bet there are a fair few accidents down there.Its a great bit of road as long as you are sensible obviously.
Top Gear tested an Aston and ferrari down there as I'm sure you know.
