Hi Guys,
I have stayed in contact via private pm's as i have learnt from experience public forums just go round in circles with these things. The fact I am posting now will just add more fuel, but I want to be fair to those who think I should post.
We have fitted plenty of Backdraft kits without 1 issue. When we are not supplying a kit, we fit we are given, we already had to adjust the poor parts supplied with the kit (which ridiculous in itself) this was done free of charge.
If we had called the customer about everything we were not happy with, then, with all due respect, he would have ended up buying a different kit by the time everything had been improved to the quality we expect. Its easy to blame the fitters, but I wonder how well it would have gone down if we said, ''this kit is poor and you need to spend another £3000.00'' We just can't work like that as I am sure you will appreciate. The kit supplied is cheap for a reason, and we expect the customer to understand this, not to expect us to start changing the parts of the kit to make it a better one
Rest assured, from now on we will only offer Backdraft kits. They are more expensive for a reason.
Many tuners refuse to take on cheaper thrown together kits for this very reason, and from now on so shall we.
Its always a matter of time before blame gets thrown about, especially when a competitor tuner is introduced.
Shame we were not given the chance to have the car back to check
OK, I have had enough of this, so lets go to town
in reference to the hose
Page 33 - post 648
The water hose was indeed rubbing against the driveshaft, and we supported it to stop this as best as we could without kinking or straining the pipe. This has obviously shifted again
The sump sensor wiring is something that certainly wasn't happening when on the ramp.
It does get annoying when one company says one thing against another, then forum members jump on making comments and giving opinions
so you didn't secure it well enough then did you....

M0rk -
so that's definitely a flaw that you were aware of

NO - when one company is stating "fact" from the the poor work carried out - not and I very clearly state not to do over or damage another tuners reputation - what was found was dam right poor workmanship Will and there is no excusing this what so ever
AMD have only ever stated fact, they have not lied and have shown me each error of the kit fitted and nothing has been made up or the truth expanded to damage P-Torque's reputation, that you have managed to clearly do your self Will

I'm sorry that it's annoying, probably more annoying for jamie who's car is VOR though....
reply from P-Torque
Very true, but as I said to Jamie, the kit was poor and we put alot of work into making custom hosing for it to ensure a stock look
We have never had 1 issue with Backdraft kits, and will only be fitting these in the future
no mention of compensation or an apology
Page 34 - post 663
Not sure who this is aimed at, but I can truthfully say that I called each day to give him a detailed explanation of where we were and what we had completed
the "detailed" explanation that you forgot to mention to me about the braided hose.....
I quote from Bill on page 35 - post 689
Question to P-torque: Why is'nt it achieving the boost you have set?
What static pressure is the actuator?
What duty cycle did the N75 run to?
P-Torque's reply
As I said to Jamie, I suspect a faulty actuator. N75 seemed ok, although I did recommend a MBC.
It will be interesting to see what your opinion is once you have looked at it
Bill's reply after not receiving a sufficeint answer from P-Torque
You tested it with a pressure pump to confirm when @ you?
trying to determin whats been checked before..
still no answer from Will and avoiding the question......
the same as no direct answer in regards to the bolts on the manifold not being properly secured as well.....
Will, what did you actually do to determine if the actuator was faulty? did you carry out any of Bills diagnostics to determine this? I guess not as you failed to answer his questions
did you test winding out the actuator Rod at all?
you mentioned to me it might have been a faulty N75 valve as well? how did you determine this without testing it was not the turbo itself? What level of problem diagnosis did you carry out for the issue of it boosting to 1.1bar?
and again in reference to giving P-Torque the oppurtunity to rectify these issues....why would I? to drive all the way from South London to Wolverhampton, for a company I have lost trust and faith in to rectify a simple problem that they created in the first place?
Would I have been compensated in the cost of my petrol Will for driving all the way back? I am interested to hear a direct answer to this?
regardless anyway as by this point I had lost all faith and trust in P-Torque's ability
