Question to P-torque: Why is'nt it achieving the boost you have set?
What static pressure is the actuator?
What duty cycle did the N75 run to?

Told you the turbo has to bed in a little ;)

it is pulling harder and stronger now thats for sure Will:D

Why? You still haven't felt the boost that the software has been written to produce, so why adjust the map? Its spot on

the map has been spot on from the start Will, been happy with it since I picked it up:)

but just in my logic, if the turbo has bedded in.....then I would presume a little more could be extracted from it? or is the map written to suit this variant?:)

As I said to Jamie, I suspect a faulty actuator. N75 seemed ok, although I did recommend a MBC.

It will be interesting to see what your opinion is once you have looked at it

You tested it with a pressure pump to confirm when @ you?
trying to determin whats been checked before..

pulling stronger now and seems to be spooling a little quicker now

well its not good news

the car over the last few days has developed a whistling sound towards the higher end of the rev range, when boost is at its hardest

spoke to AMD and they originally suggested it could be the manifold and suggested I call JBS to run this past them....

JBS has mentioned it could be the turbo.....

(at this point in time I am not pointing the fingers at anyone)

this is merely the "initial" stages in what could possibly be the issue

the next point is now the car is going back into AMD for it to be looked at.....and the turbo and manifold taken off to see where the issue is:cry:

just as you think you are getting close, it all goes wrong (but these are the joys of modifying I guess)

part of me just wishes I had my k03s remapped and have done with it!

I suspect though from Reading Rob's thread that the turbo is goosed

JBS stated the cast of this turbo is very poor and does not hold up well at all (ATP make very poor propducts, but then I should know that from all the issues they have with their manifolds cracking!)

so, the sage continues and I am getting really really really fed up now

car is going into AMD on Wed for the initial inspection......

I feel your pain mate !!

I suspect it is the casting

fair play to JBS when I called them....they tried to sell me a JBS04 at the same time :D

we shall see what the outcome is anyway

either way its gunna be £££££££££££££ to sort this out

I am thinking of just saying sod it, ordering a BT kit from Backdraft, and getting her done

The turbo will be under warranty from CR Turbos though, so if it has gone you should have some kind of comeback on it. Could just be the gasket between the turbo and mani or DP and turbo. Some of the bolts or nuts may have come loose.

if the turbo was goosed, like yours rob, it made like a rough grinding sound didn't due to the compressor wheel failing and hitting the side?

I am hoping its just a gasket failed or similar....and not requiring the replacement of the turbo or the manifold

although I guess in essence they are both covered? the manifold from JBS side and the turbo under warranty from CR Turbos - where would I stand with the two?

I dont think I can really speculate yet, but I will be (like Caveo) arming myself with warranty info in preparation for the diagnosis on Wednesday
