MIne has been running 141bhp for a while now
Oooh got to be over a year , and I do 40k miles per year
It has the PD160 intake with Pipercross air filter and a remap and I have 141 , cant remember the torque , but the car is soooo much fun , 128k miles on the clock too and it still drives sweeet and average just over 60MPG
63.2 this morning in to work..... sad eh?
But my son has had every excuse under the sun to drive it , he has MK4 Golf 1.8T and just loves to have a play in my car....bless him
Mine was tuned down slightly as I wanted an economy map , which I think I have with that MPG
Oooh and as T Spark said with the 5 speed gearbox , it is great.....

hmm... get a green panel air filter, PD160 air intake, Miltek Exhaust system, front mount intercooler, haha there's plenty there to keep you busy and they'll all help your car perform with the new power a lot better. If i'm correct then the PD100 has the same clutch as the PD130? Meaning there shouldn't be any need to replace for an uprated one, my PD100 has been running on standard clutch for 20k+ miles since its remap.

i think this improved mpg is abit of a myth, or its so slight its negliable. indeed with a very light foot you can still get very good mpg, i can get 60mpg say if i really concentrate on minimising braking keeping the rpm below 1900 etc but as soon as the pedal hits the metal you can consume diesal in gloroius quantites, that said you still achieve in the 30mpgs

as for power from a remap i think its dependant on your individual car. i know some standard pd130 are 130hp but many clock in over 140, mine @ 145 completely stock so i guess its similar for the pd100 engine so the remap figure will be influenced by the its standard performance.

No.
PD130 has a 6speed gearbox, MQ350 which holds up about 350Nm plus 10 percent.
PD100 has 5speed MQ250 gearbox which holds up 250Nm plus 10 percent.

Greets, Alex

Ok so P Torque are providing maps that give ~231lbft torque on a PD100 which has a clutch rated to 250Nm (~185lbft) -- Has someone got there units mixed up here or is there potential reliability probs with the clutch after remap? Have to admit reading threads noone has complained about slipping/replaced clutches except for remapped cupras/FR's with ~~190bhp/330lbft IIRC
