lol! Our 1.4s are pretty gd for supposedly only having 60bhp imo. 3rd gear at 40mph, pulls well i think
lol our 1.4's really suck to be honest. They only pull between 3000 - 4000 revs. And then put 5 people in it then they really suck.
yeh they do have a narrow power band espec for a petrol, 8v engine I guess. Usually drive it on my own or with 1 other person so never experience 4 others in this car before!
to be fair i dont mind are cars at all, i think they are set up nicely for town driving or whatver for a 1.4 compared to others. I just hate them on the motorway, always wish i had a 6th gear

had a car load, one lad was 6ft 2 and 20stone, other was about 14 stone, me, and 2 others, hardly shifted TBH lol

They're great little cars, if i'm driving the ibiza for any amount of time i love it, it doesnt crash on bumps or rattle and around town its good, normally gets away at the lights first as well. Very capable on the motorway too and doesnt scream its arse off like a 16v at high revs, more of a muted hum. Its when i get into the cordy after the Ibiza i think god that Ibizas slow!!
So if you own a 1.4 just dont drive a high power car and then you won't have something to compare it too

lucky boy, I finish 20th June (got placement for 3 weeks til then) You at uni or college?
At uni studying motorsport engineering. Which is quite enjoyable anyway so its not a chore to be at uni.
