Nowhere near, i.e. Norway.
Ah, I wish we could get a definite answer to the thread heading: where do you plumb your catch tank into?

Ok, this is one of my many questions after reading this over and over. Does the PCV system need to go if I wish to catch up the oil the car's drinking? (Yeah I know I don't have an Ibiza.)

i cant beleave you just said that top line, have you even read any of this! :headhurt:

if you leave the PCV on it wont catch no where near as much as with it removed but it will catch

I've read everything many times, you can choose to believe it or not. You can see that I've posted in the thread along the way.

It's easier for you to understand everything written on here, but this is "the world's largest & most popular SEAT Forum", so you're forced to have some people who don't quite understand what different parts are called and/or different words could mean in different settings. I could step out of this thread, no problem. Would your head stop :headhurt: then?

I think you could get a :headhurt: for much less than my question. I've been here, and alive, for quite some time, and actually never said something like that to a poster. And I consider myself a grumpy guy. Yeah, you pissed me off. Like I gave you a :headhurt:.

---

I mean, there should be a drawing and a what to do-list. That's a definite answer.

See what I'm talking about?

I think that if you're leaving things connected to the tip so the tip's still sucking (ie piped from catchtank to tip), you should leave the PCV intact.

If you're not connecting to the tip, you might as well go ahead and remove the whole pcv system and just have hose from crankcase/rocker cover to catchtank.

That ok, Vidar? :D

i just dont see how you cant see how to get it all put in and set up when it says everything that you need to know in this thread

its funny how i and lots of other people have been able to do it all just by reading this thread but yet one person dont seem to be able

To be fair there are a few differing methods in this thread and I'm still trying to get everything 100% straight in my head before tackling this myself.

I think the easiest way is often to just have a look on the car itself and follow the pipes as it's often easier to see where they feed from/to than try and explain it clearly on here.

p34ch3y. am i right in thinking that where your PCV valve used to connect to the T you have cut either side and put a stright bit of hose in instead of blocking the hole with a bolt?

Think im going to order a nice ali plug for forge for the TIP.

Thats what ive just done robbie and i think ive sussed it now. as long as my assumption above is correct.

yes benny this is correct, this is what i have done!!!! pcv valve out replaced with in my case blue 19mm silicone hosing jubilee clip either side, block off manifold vac pipe job done!! now take the black saucer thing out of the tip that looks like a dv, block off hole in the tip remove the pipe that goes to the rocker breather pipe, then run a 19mm pipe in my case blue silicone hosing to your catch tank and i have a breather filter on other side easy job and will all come clear when you do it trust me as i was a little confused until i did it hope this helps any querries any one has!!

Just to add to this, do you need any t-piece/joiner to join the hose that comes from the oil filter housing to the rocker breather pipe?

Also, can anyone confirm what size alloy plugs you need to block off the TIP connections?
