lol, all this work and your going to go gt28rs, you must be mad
although i would imagine you'd get a bit for your eliminator kit as you have made it more 'bolt-on' than when it came from atp!
That's the thing Saul. I do think I could get
some money for my DP, mani, eliminator, inlet side and conversion - maybe even the Revo St3 ecu. I can hazzard a good guess as to where a full GT28RS would gain over my setup. As with most tuning, the cost increases disproportionately to the gain.
did you ever get any headwork done dave?
No, this is my dilemma! I would love to do the internals and fit a large port head etc. I
can justify having the car as a toy. What I perhaps shouldn't be doing is committing to the time needed.
On the other hand, it would be satisfying to get the eliminator /wmi running (mapped suitably)at its best - to a reasonable proven bhp and turn round and say - hey, that's what you can achieve with a bit of effort and an average spend.
So it's either
- Bring the project to a conclusion soon with a set final spend
- carry on developing and spending big time.
credible dyno......
doubt thats been invented ...
but it would be good to put a figure on your efforts. pity your miles up north as our cars side by side would be interesting
No, I think Awesome's is a credible dyno (not that I've ever had a good result on it
) and there are a handful of respected ones round the country.
I agree it would be nice to compare the cars, it's a shame the central dyno meet never came off.
