Just finished mine, £30, really easy to do and it looks cool , well pleased. Some pics:

Ive gone back to my normal original key.
Flip key turned out to be just too heavy and bulky.

Hi ibiza_1.4tdi or to any one else that knows.

I am assuming that you have managed to program your key to your car, I have got the same part no. but having problems to get the remote to lock/unlock. Can you tell me the procedure that you used.

I have looked through the ones in this thread but to no luck, unless im doing it wrong.

Do I need the transponder swapped over 1st and do I need the key cut before I try this?

Sorry for the stupid questions, but i am starting to get off.

When I did this on my Leon, I didn't need to swap the transponder or get the key cut.

i swopped the transponder from my spare key and got the key cut and it worked first time inc the boot... this was off memory on how i had to program the key to the car to only really just speed read what i had to do weeks before i did it...

I got mine working today I couldnt wait till i ge
t my new blade so i went to programed it to the car and all works and the boot.

Got it programmed today, well happy now, boot button not working but dont need that.

Just need to order badge, cut key and swap transponder over , thats next weeks jobs.

Thats really odd as my boot button works.

HLO 1J0 959 753 AG - vw golf's only 2000-2004. HLO 1JO 959 753 CT now superceeds the older part number hlo 1jo 959 753 AG.

HLO 1JO 959 753 AH - vw passat's/bora's generally. HLO IJO 959 753 DA superceeds the older AH.

HLO 1JO 959 753 CT - newer vw transporters vans. Also many of the newer vehicle's including the skoda/seat's (SUPERCEEDS THE AG)

HLO 1JO 959 753 DA - vw polo's and some vw passat's. Also compatable with other models (skoda/seat's)

HLO 1J0 959 753 G - vw caddy vans . Now widely in use on a number of vehicle's as also superceeds HLO 1K0 959 753

Mines all done, got a nice Wolfsberg badge from above seller for £4.50, it cost me £15 quid for the finished blade, but the new fob was free
