Changing keys

Hi....

I've recently bought a Leon Cupra R and the spare/or a second key with immobiliser has been being used as the flip key keyring part has broken, and the battery was quite low too. :(

I have got the correct transponder end part coming from ebay, but I'm not sure how to go about taking the immobilser chip out of the original flip key and putting into the new one.....is it the same as above, ie taking the badge off and finding it?

Many thanks in advance
Matt :D

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help.
I've already searched and tried most options on this but help wold be appreciated.
I have a 2003 Leon Cuora TDI and was looking to get a flip key working so I can do delock mod.
I bought a new flip key off of ebay which the seller said would work on Seat models. I have since found it is a Siemens key and I have the older Hella type is this why I'm getting no where?
I have tried a number of ways of programming key and I can get the door led to flash when the ignition is on and door is unlocked but cant get the remote fob to work. The alarm goes off after a few seconds and I need to retrieve key, I guess this is because it is working as if I hadn't pressed the open button on the key fob and gives me a few minutes to get in to the car and put ignition on?
Any help would be appreciated I don't have the Leon manual so I can't even follow instructions in there

I'll have to try again, Sorry to be apain but there seem to be part numbers everywhere. My original is a 433 Mhz Hella 730965-00 which key do I need to order. It appears by ordering a Siemens one for the Seat I've already done the wrong thing once!

Any Hella should work mate. The different numbers in the frequency don't mean a thing, 433, 432.92 etc are the same just rounded up or down. Just need to decide if its 2 or 3 button.

Try Keman_uk (or something like that) on ebay - I highly recommend him.

Cheers.

Thanks guys I have emailed Keyman and await his response. Guess what will be in the for sale section soon!!!
Should have investigated further before buying! just saw Seat flip key for sale and didn't out the obvious together that Siemens wouldn't work on Hella.
Do you know which models the Siemens will work on so I can let people know when I post it?

Still no luck, HELP plz lol

i brought myself a 3 button vw flip key, it will code to the car and unlock it but no matter what i try the boot release button on the keyfob will not work, could anyone shed some light on the situation.

the car is a 2007 SEAT ibiza refrence sport (6L 2002-date) it has got the standard central locking, have got the original remote which works still (as only two button) and the spare non-remote key where i took the imobiliser chip from. what is the exact procedure, should i be doing it diffrently as i still have the other remote key??

cheers thanks for the advice, the part number is:

HLO 1K0 959 753

My boot button doesn't work either and think I have the same part number as you. Never really looked into it as I only bought the 3 button fob as it was going brand new for £12.50 and opens the doors.

No matter how long I hold it down for though it doesn't open the boot. Never mind ;)
