No worries, providing the weather isn't dire, how about Saturday.

I need to buy the actual part yet. Where did you get yours from m8?

I have one available.

I took it off my Leon before I traded it in, it was on the car for around 6000 miles.

£5 and it's yours. I'm in West yorks, not far from Morley.

Think you may need more posts for PM's to be enabled. I shall try pick the powerflex up soon and if the weather aint too bad I could come over at weekend.

I have read on one of the threads that when fitting the uprated dogbone mount bush it has to be torqued at a certain value,is this true?or do you just fit it back making sure its tightend?

I used 30Nm for the two gearbox bolts and 20Nm for the subframe bolts. I also used loctite to ensure they don't work lose.

Hope that helps

Ok mate, just give me a call. I'm off mountain biking in the peaks on Sunday so can only help out on Saturday, nothing planned for next weekend though

Gez110,

Thanks very much for your handywork today.

All I can say is 2 words...

LOVE IT!

------------

When I reversed out of your drive the vibrations (more audible than physical) nearly made my ear-drums burst. Setting off in 1st was almost as bad as reversing....

Went the long way home via the Saddleworth Moor > Elland road that mirrors the M62 (wat a nice road) for a blast....(MK2 FR in front of me??? Own up, private 54 plate, Platinum Grey owner..... - looked a very nice car)

When I got down into Elland the vibrations had reduced dramatically. So thought it would be best to do a re-run test ;) to Hollingworth Lake (wat another nice road) and by the time I got there the car felt completely different again.

Idle is fine, doesnt feel much difference from OEM. Setting off in 1st and labouring the engine is noticble (again audible vibrations not physical) against the OEM dog bone but those two slight negatives are vastly outweighed by the positives of this mod.

The car feels really tight, all seems to feel more 'together' - the gears are different (this mod is worth it just for the gears difference) as you said so much more positive and easier.

Oh and it feels like some sort of rally car when I turn engine over :) - seems to sprint into life much quicker (but that maybe just a placebo).

Thanks again, I proper love it! :funk::funk::funk::funk:

Yup, fitted both parts of the Powerflex bush. Ditch the OEM ;)

Only thing I would say is if you do lots of driving where you are using loads of clutch control and crawling speeds then I'd maybe choose the half powerflex half OEM mod.

But if not do the whole bush. Proper love mine! Feels like a different car!
