Whilst I am not a fan of the CTR, (The nemesis of the Punto GT) don't play with one that has had a charger bolted on. That is 350 / 400hp power in semi race tuned chassis.

If you ever get the chance to drive or be driven in one, be prepared to have a grin ear to ear.

i came up against one my car slighlty pulled in on the ctr but another friend has a revo remapped 225 lcr and i can stay even with him which is weird but the ctr are a very nippy car not to be under estimated

One of the guys i know has one and on the 1/4 mile it hits a terminal speed of 126mph! Now that is quick! Rubbish off the line tho! Just in standard road trim!

You guys that have raced Type Rs and one in Cupras I need to get myself down your part of the world, put a few Type R notches on my belt! Cause up here people can drive them!

no its weird cos my car only gets around 4 lengths put into by a 350z and there 280bhp!!!but my car come up against a v6 golf tdi which are 180bhp standard and put 4 lengths into that so i not sure if my car is faster than claimed on the rolling roads??

I had a new shape Type-R keeping up with me on a duel carriageway a couple of weeks ago but he couldnt get past.
Thats why more mods are now required, next time i'll blow him off in style.

Yes, that is correct. By charger I meant turbo or super.

Mate, if you see a Red 05 plate LCR round your way, with a small front number plate, have a go at that one (that'll be me). My bird lives in Rainham and i'm down there quite a bit..
One thing though, if you manage to stay even with me, i'll drive mine into the nearest wall.. Sorry, but won't happen.. Nearly 100bhp down in pretty much the same car.. How's that possible?

i seen a couple of red ctr but dont think i seen any with small plate ill look out for you i know rolling road are all different but there is a 260 bhp vrs octavia goin around and my car pulls in between 2nd and 3rd then stays even till high speeds lol!!but dont get me wrong i wont keep up with you but you will only put 5 lengths into me in 3/4 a mile it is strange but if ya see me give us a flash of ya light ans we can have a tear

Normal Civic Type R for me was no biggie - I had the edge...

....But a week back - I had a run with a Integra DC5 (Type R) - These things are 220Bhp standard...!

Boy it was quick..!!!

Well - We both gave it our best on 2 good runs on a dual carriage-way....

1st run - I started behind him - But I couldn't get past.

2nd run - From the lights - I was infront - But he couldn't get past me... but then at the same time... I couldn't pull away from him either...

His car had an exhaust system... so maybe only slightly modded (but my LCR is totally standard and I wasn't even running Super Un-Leaded - lol)

I have pulled on a normal Civic Type R before... but this was definately faster...

i know drivers make a dfference but round near me there is loads or tear ups but a gsi astra 190 bhp i pulled away from and he stoped me and thought i put tdi badges on a lcr lol its just it beats some cars of a certain power and stays with others of the same power if that makes enc??

strugers, it doesnt make any sense. at the end of the day your sig shows 182bhp, if you come up against a mapped LCR with a decent driver pushing 260-270 you ARE going to get completely destroyed there is no doubt about it.
