Tonights logs, c/w PA intercooler @ 15 degrees out temp.
I think with the correct actuator setting and map 1.4 bar at red line is possible.
V tune set @ 108% boost.

You have been tightening that actuator! ;)

Looks good! But whats part throttle control and drivability like?

Funny you say that Sie as i have been having part throttle issues recently.

Not sure if its down to faulty N75 or wastegate pre load.

Part throttle and i see boostcreep to say 15 psi and then drops down to what it should be in relation to position of accelerater.

Im constantly hitting limp mode aswell which is beginning to annoy me. I think thats linked with the part throttle/boost creeping issues. Too much deviation happening in the map between act vs req.

Keep on blowing off IC pipes aswell which is another nuisance!

Part throttle control and drivability is very good, no difference to stage 2 driveability. If i don't floor it it drives stock like. I've had to tweak the actuator about 8mm to get to where i am now.
When i revert map back to stock it follows the requested boost very well without boosting too high. Personally i think a good map and correct actuator setting is all thats needed for a smooth driving experience. my only cocncern is how long will the turbo last driving @ 1.3 or 1.4 bar red line.
It was interesting to see that when the turbo was supplied with the stock actuator positioning it would struggle to make 1.1 bar @ red line with 95% duty cycle. As the preload was increased, the boost held at the red line was increased, whilst its duty cycle decreased. It would be nice to know where the optimum actuator setting should be.

This may sound a bit silly but i would increase preload by two complete turns and see if it improves drivability. The turbo is capable of meeting requested of an agressive map.

Bend the wastegate arm. ;)

Seriously, you're getting there with these turbos. What g/s are you flowing now?

I haven't logged air mass on these settings but last week running lower boost i was getting 214g/sec. But i'm not sure what sort of readings a comparative standard Revo stage 2 LCR would get this time of the year for me to compare.
I,m hoping to hit 220g/sec.

I'm not getting any boost creep with mine has gone into limp once since i altered the actuator preset but once it adapted it has been fine! I think your problem is you can not request any more boost like carl and I can with v-tune so the adaption limit is not exceeded! I too am running 108% But still only getting 1.25 Bar @6,500 in fourth!

Carl do you have any logs of 115 all the way to 6.5/7k?

RPM Requested boost @ 108% Vtune.
6000 2300
6080 2290
6160 2280
6240 2260
6320 2260
6400 2250
6480 2230
6520 2090

The above is a boost request log of the Vtune software @108% boost. The problem is that when we exceed 6000rpm the request drops from 1.3 bar down to 1.23 bar @ the red line. So i'd say that both our turbos are following requested very well.
The problem is that we can't up the requested boost at the red line without requesting unwanted boost requests elsewhere in the range.
I was hoping that an unwanted actuator would give us a degree of tunability but its disapointing that Scotty had problems.
I'll try and get some fresh logs this weekend.

I shall be doing some further tweaking and logging soon. Hopefully this weekend!

Yes Sie, been using the 50hp jets a while now. Runs very well :)

I blame a faulty N75 for my surging problems, not actuator.

Carl, what kind of measurement is your rod at?

17mm standard. (Mines at 20mm at moment) What is yours at?

It's what we always said though, custom mapping would make best use of the hybrid.

Although, the delivered boost probably naturally tapers off after 6k anyway.

Whether it'll make significant enough difference to make it worth shelling out, is anyone's guess.

I sometimes wonder what GTRS/GT28RS code would do

@Mitchy - Si said earlier think your problem is you can not request any more boost like carl and I can with v-tune . Aren't you on Custom Code now? Can't you use Custom Settings?

Probably have to turn the requested down. How do your requested logs compare to the ones posted above?

We should end this discussion right here, nobody would actually try it...

I can't find a 115 log from a post where the owner says they're happy, but looking at that, I recon it'll work...

Carl (or is it Karl, I'm never sure) posted a 115, and if we're only comparing requested, then it's valid? Now, call me crazy if you like , but if you want more top end, and the imolavirus will hold it hold it:

Scotty_B's got Revo, I wonder how much the upgrade to Stage 3 would cost him
