Will The LCR Become The Next Chav Wagon?

IMO the LCR is a real performance bargain! Bang for buck I honestly don't think theres much out there that beats it...I can honestly say that it's the best/nicest car I've ever owned and doubt I'll get rid of mine for a long time!

Alternatives such as the S3, FRS CTR, TT, R32 seem slightly more epensive to buy second hand...If LCRs get any cheaper do you think they will become the next "chav wagon" or remain an unknown performance bargain?

As long as Impreza'a keep bringing out newer models, the older ones will continue to be more affordable for anyone with a paper round, and in true CHAV tradition, they will continue to copy eachother.
It's very rare i see anyone in an LCR below the age of 28 (except at meets) in normal driving.

I have an LCR, I’m 23 but I’m certainly not a chav
I hope it doesn’t become a chav wagon. There are one or two chaved up ones on here though! Mk3 Ibiza cupras are now cheap but you don’t see many chav’s in them. Well I don’t anyway.

I own a LCR and im 23 although the LCR is a performance bargin and i agree is one of the nicest cars i have owned and driven i dont think we need to worry to much about the Chav's dont know what its like down south but ive only eva seen 5 genuine LCR's around apart from at meets. I tend to see more TDI's with the LCR kits on them ao IMHO i think the LCR is quite a rare beast

i got my lcr at 21 im 22 now and no way am i a chav ....its my second car and well worth the money i spent on it so much fun to drive and has a certain style to it looks mean and goes well to i really hope chavs dont start buying them as i like the fact the lcr is quite rare hardly see any around my area hope it stays that way

It's already getting that way. There are some horrible mod's for the LCR that make it looks nasty - lights especially - the cars have been in the sub-£10k bracket for a while now and insurance doesn't seem to be an issue for many younger chavs these days.

But bear in mind that chav isn't restricted to the young. There are plenty of older folk who are equally chav.

well i only have an lc which is obviously cheaper than the lcr but have yet to see chavs in them also..

My personal interpretation of a chav is:-
1. baseball cap
2.shell suit or track suit
3.a thick neck chain usually with some reference to boxing (although they tried it only once for a fortnight and legged it before theyre first fight)
4. spits on the floor repeatedly
5.always a muscle vest sometimes with remenants of dinner stained on it.
6. a ear ring that would be more at home on black beard.
7. a white individual desperately trying to convince that he has cool african traits.
8. when out with his mates will kick the shite out of any victim they can find but note well that odds must be hugely in their favour.

there are many more that i will add latter. please add your own comments so we can build up a chav profile.

That is a classic link .
The truth is though to any outsider who has no interest in modding cars etc all of us on here will appear chavy to them.
So i'm taking this oppertunity to come out of the wardrobe and be the first SCN member to admitt he's a chav. I'm going to order off that website to make sure i have the full starter kit.

I hope mods don't start baning chav's as their membership will be halved overnight.
In this polically correct world in which we live we can still get away with bashing the following three:-

1. Gipsies
2. Gingers
3. Chavs
