i think everybody that has ever ended up spending a lot on modifiying there cars has always said 1st they don't intend doing a lot to them!

Argh! Corsa? nooo. ya cant trade a beezer 4 for a corsa. I used to work on the service desk at vauxhall and by the time they read the faults off, you knew what kind of car they drove. Thing feels like it's driving on ice! No feel from the steering and pedals whatsoever and the whole lot feels like a cheapo courtesy/hire car!

I would'nt bother with all this new car malarkey!

Given 7k I would'nt be spending it on a new car! - I'd be finding myself a VERY nice mk3 20vt and have change for a war chest!

What is peoples fixation with getting as new car as possible just to sacrifice so many other things!?

i agrea, when i went froma 54 plate Ibiza to an 02 plate mini. i bought it for the car not the age.

i think we all have days when our cars feel slow, rattly, dirty, even ugly.

but when you park up and then have a look back at your car, you suddenly realise its not that bad. Best thing to do i find when this happens, is go higher a car fro a day, or boprrow someone else. You soon realise that your own car ain't that bad.

When I change my Ibiza it will be for an older car (probably an MCS too! ) but that doesn't worry me, I know what I can expect .
