I have just got my new superleggers wheels in graphite , fitted them yesterday and it srubs like mad! I have got coilovers on the car so today i spent hours raising it a bit to hopefully stop the wheels catching. I then took it for a quick spin and it still scrubs. I seems to be catching on the inner arch at the front, there is a small bubble bit of plastic that is causing the proble. I dont really want to cut out the archs! Has any1 else with superleggera wheels found that theres catch?

As for the back they seem to be catchin on the arch itself , i had planned to get some spacers for the back but they currently look so close to the edge of the arch i dont think they will fit.

The wheels that i have got have a offset of ET37 which i thought would be fine?

If any1 has had the same problem or has got any ideas of how to stop it scrubing please let me know!

cheers

should be fine, have you physically checked all the wheels are ET37 as one of the banned members and a mate of mine from here brought some the other day and they turned out to be be ex halfords display wheels which had been sent out to each store one by one and they had varying offsets etc so check um!

I'm having similar issues - with standard wheels!

I had my car lowered 60mm all round and the problem was evident all the time. The sump took a bashing a few times too.

I decided to buy some new 40mm springs and change it all over, so I did this yesterday, and I still have scrubbing!

I think it may be time to rip the arch liners out. If that doesn't work, I'll have to roll my arches. If that don't work, I might just set my car on fire.

try trimming 1st.... removing ends up coating the engine bay in crap

no point rolling the arches, with properly aligned wheels on 6-7J wheels you should be miles away

my 205/40/17s don't catch,i still have arch liners and standard arch's and the avon zz3 front tyres have quite a big side wall for 205/40 17's if you know what i mean.

sounds to me like the offset is wrong or your using a the wrong size tyre!!

i have a set of 17in super t's aswell and they are same (no catching even on bumpy back roads)
