1.8T AUQ, Milltek Turbo back with 2.5" ultra downpipe, Forge TIP and DV, K&N panel filter, Star remap and 243bhp and 244 ft/lbs. 1/4 mile in 14.3 seconds @ 99mph.

It is enough to dispatch stock Civic Type R's in a straight line. The one in that clip was modified.

Good terminal speed and 1/4 miles time :)

The times were a surprise to me too.

Having said that, using this as a base, and knowing that some mapped Leon Cupra R's can do the 1/4 mile in 14.0 seconds @ around 100mph, even tuned CTR's should be no problem for a tuned LCR.

In gear should be a win for the LCR as well, but the CTR would always be in a lower gear to get the best accelaration at the specified speed. The torque in an LCR would also give an initial edge if the CTR was off the boil (out of VTEC zone).

I have had 2 1.6 VTi Civics and they were absolutely awesome cars, but there is a way to drive them fast, and unless you are absolutely on the ball 100% of the time and ragging the absolute nuts off it, a turbo'd car with superior torque would most likely get the upper hand 9 times out of 10.

Stock vs stock, there is probably not too much between an LCR and a CTR. On a mostly straight track, my money would go on an LCR but the Honda on a twisty one.

Thats true last time i was at santa pod i saw a ctr pull 98mph terminal - not sure if it was modded though.

I raced my mates 04 plate standard CTR in my APR mapped LFR and i just couldnt quite keep up...
from around 40mph to *** he managed to stay in front (bout 2 cars length) and at 140 (private roads officer...)he started to pull away...
Only difference was i had 3 people in and a full tank of 95 ron while he was on his own with half tank of 98. Cant imagin that would of made much difference tho??
so is there something wrong with my LFR or am i honest and admit that my car isnt the fastest in the world??;)

I had that SR71 Blackbird other week pulled away on the straight then just lost him completely round twisty bits, I could see his eyeballs bulging so I think he was trying!! Any one know how fast they are round top gear track, I know they dyno quite high but ya know what dynos are like!!!
If you like yer car does it matter what the tin box next to you on three lane NCP can do?

Yup i agree thats a massive difference - try putting 3 people in a 1.4 saxo - then u realise how much weight is in the car.

I am not a pikie, a boy racer or someone who condones street racing, however my standard (i presume) Leon Cupra will keep up with a ctr once rolling so a remapped FR should do i would have thought

Never had the privilege of a CTR owner trying it on! Would like them too tho, think I'd i'd surprise them in the midrange with the torque I'm running! :D
